I don't think I recall, but has there ever been an 8 wheel Transformer toy?

BBBB is noticeably bigger. If you hold one he just feels hefty for a deluxe. He packs up super tight for car mode.

Takaratomy handles the engineering. Hasbro might send them a sketch of what they want, but takara handles the sculpting, mold-making, et al. Hasbro will go back and forth with them suggesting refinements. Hasbro might also invest into the tooling. However with takara, Japan has a low birth rate so most of their efforts will go towards older collectors whereas hasbro's primary demographic is children.

Transformers is a largely mutual line between the 2 but Takara has more collector-targeted items like the MP line and one-offs like the AD31 Armor Knight Optimus from AOE.

Man I regret not getting AD27 Bumblebee. Saw the TLK wave 1 Bumblebee today at TRU and it looked so bland in comparison.

still not much tbh. The other one came with a weapon while battle blades has them on the figure. If it was like the other, he would probably be the same size.

I would try to get a ko but the abdomen looks way to skinny. And what is up with this grey 2007 bumblebee I always see.

In vehicle mode I think, but that Bee is known for having a very big robot mode even for that line.

FYI Hasbro bought the rights to the Diaclone toy line from Takara in 1984. Thus when ported over to the US, they made it more kid centric and therefore "TheTransformers" was born.

Yup. Diaclone IMO were some of the best original transforming robot toys ever during the early 80s.

Soundwave, Blaster, Perceptor, and Megatron were all originally from
Microman/Micro Change. Which was another line by Takara. Pre-Transformer - Transformers Wiki

    Correct
Takara made the toy that would become Soundwave, Cassette Robo I think from their Microman Microchange subline.

If that is a Charawheels Batmobile there on the left, consider me extremely jelly ;)

On another note, does anyone own the legends class ROTF Devastator? Seeing the news of the RID Combiner makes me want to see Devy all over again haha

I just ordered a Lost Age Galvatron. I know he's a shell former but I needed in for my photo-comic. Any opinions on him vs the Hasbro version?
