Yup, definately, that's why I liked reading it. When you started it, I was like, man I have been wanting to do this for ages! I just needed to finish my G1 collecting first.

 

All those alt's looks sweet! It's making me reconsider selling them.

ops sorry, I meant reconsider not selling them. At the moment there not displayed. I took them out of storage recently, because I've been thinning my collection down and focusing on mostly classics/MP's. I just don't have room for them and have been considering putting them on ebay. Still a bit hesitant about doing it and seeing these pictures re-enforces that.

 

Putting these two quotes together, cause it's really the same answer.

With my Alts, I use them as stand ins until the MP line comes out. So for instance, BT Prowl looks nothing like G1 prowl. Hence is not like a MP figure. So this is not so much of my love for Alts/BT, but more about how I like how the Alts are almost MPs. So I had to head swap and reprolabel. BT Prowl is my Red Alert though. I did that swap. But he will soon be gone too.

So igniz, if your focusing in on MP and Classics, why not keep the Alts till the MPs of the figures come out?

 

That's a great way to go about collecting those figures. I took out my old Alternator Sideswipe, did the trunk mod, and he is now standing in for MP-12.

I hear you. Taking pics of these made me like them even more. I think Sunstreaker and Sideswipe may though. The bot modes are just so bad! Maybe I will keep em just for the Alt modes.

 

they look awesome in alt mode though, i keep mine that way, i'm not a fan of that mold for them

Awesome how you used the WST to simulate the different sizes.

 

I'd really like to see the Ratchet / Ironhide pictures again with the pure G1 figures, just to get a real sense of evolution.

To me, it's not really a true evolution / comparison unless you can see just how horrible the G1 figures are  

 

They just forgot to package those heads in the box. That's it, that's what it was. LOL.

 

This reminds me of finally getting a chance to read Marvel G1 #1 - 4 and seeing how the artist originally drew Ratchet and Ironhide exactly like the toy. I couldn't believe it  

They very quickly dropped that idea.

 

I had to do a double take on your G1 Ratchet and Ironhide for a second. I was like wtf they didn't normally have faces    

 

Alright, question for everyone.

Do I open my MOSC Classics Grimlock for comparison pics? I mean it drops the value, and that thing will never be displayed.

I was going to wait for the FOC one and use that. I know it's cheating, but that is a classics Grimlock if I ever saw one.
