When you have something to show, make sure I see it. I'm very curious how this would turn out.

Oh, I had another idea. So it seems the back half that mold is only held in place by a single pin. Could someone take a Jazz and Sideswipe mold and swap their back halves to give the illusion of unique molds?

How did you get the head apart? If it's like Jazz, it looks rather complicated.

    He probably unscrewed the head.

None of the other FoC figures have heads screwed together. They are all tabbed and glued together.

You got it! :thumbs2:  It won't be until Friday that I can get the yellow for him, but I'll work on ideas for making the head fit until then.

I put the head in an empty coffee cup then used a hair dryer on high full blast into the cup for about a minute then used a small knife to cut the excess glue on the sides of the back of the head, and it popped apart. I'm tempted to try Jazz again and see if this will work, really want to uncover his light piping and remove that black paint on his eyes/visor.

Looks like the back ends could be flip flopped, I need to get better with pins to try. The only thing is that Sideswipe's back end doesn't plug into his butt the way that Jazz's does, just one of the differences in the back ends of the car mode but it does look like it could work.

See above, blue paint is drying, pics in a couple of minutes. :)

Took a few minutes to get a decent shot, his eyes are really hidden by the sculpt.

No, we're talking about splitting the head in two, like how figures a year ago were just screwed together. Not talking about getting them off the body, though on a lot of the FoC figures that's also a pain in the butt.

Okay those eyes are nice. When mine arrives I might simply try to paint them without separating the head.

If you've got a small enough brush and steady hand go for it. I'd really recommend take the head apart though, the eye area is so small and the back of the head has the stumps for the eyes, it only took a couple minutes and didn't mess up the face paint.

I decided to give Dark of the Moon voyager Shockwave's cannon hose to Fall of Cybertron deluxe Shockwave. I don't know why I did, but I did. I don't regret it. The figure looks a lot better with it on.

You just put the thicker peg, the one that would normally go into Shockwave's cannon, between the three gun barrels. And it sits there pretty tightly. The five millimeter peg goes into the port of equal size on his back. Again, it stays there pretty tight.

His arm pose-ability does become restricted, but you can still get some decent poses out of him. Like I said, I don't regret giving him the hose. He looks miles better with it.

You can still attach the hose in vehicle mode, albeit in a slightly different manner. However, it does take away from the aero-dynamic look of the vehicle mode. I forgot to take pictures, but basically, you leave the cannon peg where it is, and put the five millimeter peg between his upper arm and his chest, and it'll stay there pretty tight.

So I just got 2 Jazz heads apart, the first came from the first wave from BBTS, the second came from TRU a few weeks back during the buy 2 get 1 free sale. The first one was glued tight and I accidentally destroyed it by finally getting the light piping section to move free. The second one wasn't even glued! I put a small screw driving in front of the white section with the peg that is the opposite wall of the face and a little push and both the light piping piece and the white section with the ball joint slid right out with ease. So, that said Jazz's head was just painted metallic black and I'm prepping his light piping for color removal now.

Edit: While the head was drying I tried this out, looks like I'm working on a Prowl soon too.

Everyone is making me jealous, because I don't like ordering online to get toys I know are/will be in stores.
And I always get everything a month or two after the "Released at US Retail!" post.
    I still haven't seen Dreadwing... :c

Sometimes it's cheaper to buy online. For example, at Wal-Mart, Bruticus will cost $75 plus tax ( $15 each ). I bought all five on hasbrotoyshop.com with a 20% off code and free shipping. Only cost me $60 plus tax.

Love how you got Blast Off in arm mode to look like the one on the SDCC box! Where did you get that gatling to put in there?

So I just tried it too. Yup, Jazz's head isn't even glued together like I assumed it to be. This is extremely useful information that I could have used last month. Thanks a lot, jerk. :p  The $10,000,000 question is, was Sideswipe as easy? That's the head I know I want to take apart.

Yeah, Prowl looks spiffy. I saw someone else had done a FoC Prowl in the Radicons. It can look spectacular.
