I completely disagree. The guns in this new wave are SOO COMICALLY LARGE that it's ridiculous. I have 2 Sideswipes and neither are going to use that ugly gigantic piece of plastic they call a gun. Kickback's gun is likewise so ungodly huge that it goes in the f*** off box. Fireflight's sucks but is required for transformation. Starscream's is a little to big. Magnus's sword on it's own is too large, but at least it isn't comically so. I'm super glad I have Fakebusker's weapons and other weapons laying around to properly arm these guys.

On an unrelated note, I think Starscream may be my favorite of this wave. I keep picking him up and messing with him.

From the pic, I gotta say I like that color red they used for sideswipe.

 

I just got my wave 3 case yesterday. I haven't opened them yet but from in-box they look great! Prime and Jazz weren't bad but I really think at least 3 figures in this wave put them to shame. With Grimlock and Blaster coming up this line just keeps getting better.

Please forgive the double post but I wanted to bring this up.

I did flip the wings and there is something I didn't notice. The um... what do I call them... The parts of the wing where the pin goes through. The two pieces are not the same thickness. So to flip the wings you wind up with a gap or have to shave something down. I've included a picture close up showing what I'm trying to talk about.

EDIT: Also just noticed something related. There is a notch on the legs for that part of the wing to rest inside while in vehicle mode. How I've done the flip, they no longer rest in there. It doesn't really affect anything but if you are anal about things lining up then this might be another thing to think about.

 

Dude, thanks for all of those pics! The first repost just became the wallpaper on my phone! The wings definitely look best the normal way, maybe they'll give us different styled wings as retools.. Is Screamer's head on a ball joint? If so, have you tried any other heads on his body?

 

His head is on a swivel joint connected to a rectangular pivoting piece that you can see I use for poseing and is used for transformation. The downside is that because of the way that is all done, the only way to remove the head is to remove the pin that allows the "neck" to move.

 

Arrrrrrrgh! Hopes and dreams shattered! Oh well, guess I really have to start learning me some pin removal. I'm guessing it would be tough to remove his light piping for painting as well?

Blast off definitely for me. Some may argue that other members are better, but he is the best for me. I also like brawl.

 

I just google image searched for fall of cybertron starscream.

 

I would agree with Blast Off or Brawl   But, I am an all or nothing when it comes to combiners so I either get all of them or none of them - usually none of them, lol. If you just get one I definitely recommend blast off or brawl.

Of course, as a character I do love Swindle, but he's certainly not my favourite toy.

Personally I like Vortex, Brawl and Swindle the best. Blast Off is ok, except for his shoulders and Onslaught is kinda eh.

Hmmm...I'd probably say Vortex. I really like him, then probably Brawl, Blast Off, Onslaught and finally Swindle. I wanted to like Swindle, but he really falls short for me. Plus he was a damn pain in the neck to transform and get into leg mode.

Overall, I do like Bruticus though. I don't plan on taking him apart anytime soon.

Can't wait to get the next wave in on Monday from BBTS... that Starscream looks soooo sweet!

Yeah, it is a very nice looking red. Not quite as metallic as the Classics version, but still a very good red indeed.

And all of you are furthering the torture of not having a Starscream ever so much lol. I can't wait until I'm able to grab him.
