Masterpiece Rodimus Arm just fell off.... by itself?!

Quick question for all posters that have a broken MP Rodimus; how many other toys have you had break on you?

Sounds like something youd see in a cartoon. Some hardcore collector buying some expensive piece he's been wanting. Then...PING...arm falls off....PING...other arm falls off....PING...leg falls off.....PING PING other leg and head shoot off and torso drops to the groud. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" LOL

Seriously though...stupid MP Rodimus. Mine's holding up so far anyway.

Same thing happened to mine. Or rather, the third one I had after returning two others because the legs were snapped off in the box.

Transformed him twice, was fine, posed him and left for university. Returned two and a bit months later, sitting in my room one night watching tv.......*PING*

One of three toys I've had break on me, the only one to break within five years (...less than a year) of purchase. What an absolute pile of shite.

Just had the left arm on mine fall off a few weeks ago. At first I thought one of my kids had hit an errand ping pong ball, but nothing else on the shelf was moved, you could tell by the dust silhouettes. I took the arm apart to see about a repair and realized that part of the ratchet joint had failed. So I just glued the thing on in a natural pose and said the hell with it. Hopefully the other arm stays on...

Oh I remember this problem. It's scary to think it could happen anytime. There's no real way of telling, unless you take it apart and then there's risk in doing that too. This maybe a case of you win some, you lose some.

Gotta say I'm sooooo glad I sold my MP Rodimus. He looks fantastic and I don't actually play with my figs as they are all for display but man I'd be pissed if one day his arm(s) just fell off for no reason at all

I haven't opened mine to check or form an opinion on it, but couldn't this be a good opportunity for one of those parts reproduction outfits to sell an improved replacement part? Seems like the MP-1 long smokestacks were pretty popular back in the day and if this is a functional problem versus an aesthetic one...
