I just got FOC Prime yesterday, and I love the figure, he may be a little squat, but I added my prime gun to him, it slid over his hand like it was made for him, now Optimus is armed like any good autobot leader should be.

So you're wrong, the weapon is indeed part of the alt mode, as shown in the pics. The instructions also clearly show this. And if you look at Chromedo... er, Air Raid, he has the exact same triangle piece and three barrel structure in with the sword. In fact, the sword is a separate piece, and the vee structure is atop the chest block that is the "bridge" of the ship.

It has the three barrels, but I don't think it's the same mold with the sword added. The ... handle? butt? whatever area doesn't look the same. I think the barrels are there because of how the weapon has to slot into his legs in vehicle mode.

It looks like the back part of the weapon has been retooled to allow the sword weapon to attach to it, but the front part is either less retooled, or not retooled at all.

I'm fairly new into collecting these officially, although I have a closet full of misb from casual collecting... reading up on the FoC is the below correct?

Blast-Off/Brawl/Swindle/Vortex/Onslaught - Not out yet
Jazz / Optimus / Shockwave - Out now - even thought I can only find Jazz
Starscream - coming soon?
FoC Bruticus G2 - Amazon/BBTS Pre-order (sold out)

Am I missing anything from this set that has been announced?

Shockwave is in the current wave, it's Optimus, Jazz, and Shockwave. No idea when wave 2 will start to show up, but for the time being wave 1 is still current, so if you're persistent and have time to go hunting at retail you should still be able to find him on hooks.
