Does anyone else that owns MP-09 feel he is not a true masterpiece? i mainly feel this way because A. he is floppy due to all the panels he consists of B. his arms have very little articulation considering his shoulders hit the chest and back panel. |

News Credits: 1 | He's probably the last true masterpiece actually, and at that scale definitely. Sort it, America! I take it you have TRU Roddy. Wanted: UK TF Comics, Issues 301 to 332. I love Geoff Senior's work, deal with it. |

SOC, Yamato, Hot Toys, FE and more for sale!Hasbro\MP second revision\E-hobby black Rodimus, now that's a thing of beauty. Hot Rod's arms are only limited on the shoulders, the rest of the arm is exceptionally articulated. Everything comes apart when between modes and locks together again in the final result. The only flimsy thing is the connection with the trailer. Feedback thread! |

The fact that they managed to engineer an exact toon likeness in robot and vehicle mode is astonishing. MP-11 being a close second. |

That is a Tasty Burger!Frankly, everything that was good about the Masterpiece figures wasn't good with Hot Rod. Sure, he comes with almost as many Accessories as Grimlock as well as an exclusive targetmaster figure, but his articulation leaves much to be desired. His elbows are floppy, fiddly Pieces of shit that require rotation of either Bicep or wrist to get into any real pose. His hands are just pitiful, barely able to hold his included weapons, Not even capable of pointing (Which every other Masterpiece figure I own can do). Two of the advertised features don't actually work (Offshoot cannot actually Plug into his engine block because the bottom post doesn't exist, and the big, chromey Matrix of leadership cannot be plugged into Rodimus' chest cavity like it says on the box). He is a massive pain in the ass to transform since his instructions don't mention that you have to sandwich his palms underneath his panels, Thanks for nothing Hasbro. And this is all just for the American release of everyone's least favorite Turbo-Revvin punk. The Japanese version, which comes with his combat deck, is even more prone to damage due to brittle plastics and a hip-plate that drags on the ground in vehicle mode. 3DSFriendCode: 2492-4170-3439,PokemonB/WFriend Code: 4942 5827 5915 SteamID: Countrysteve PkmnB2/W2FC: 3568 9538 9569 XBL Gamertag: bigfan321 |

| Dinobot Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 812 | I would have to agree with the OP. I bought a Hasbro version from a board member here and promptly sold it about three days after I got it. The plastic felt cheap, his hands looked and felt cheap, and he couldn't even hold his guns without them falling out. I lost about $5-10 on shipping costs and I'm calling that good because I couldn't stand him. Molon labe.My Feedback |

I was unfortunate enough to get the first run of it, and was truly upset at the QC issues. After doing a few fixes though all the complaints stopped. Now I look at it on my display and have to say they really did knock this one out the park with it's quad changing ability. It just looks so dead on in all 4 modes to how it appears in the cartoon. The only thing at this point I would change is the height difference between Hot Rod/Rodimus mode. ![]() My Collection! My FeedBack! Sales Thread!
