The 8 FOC figures you just mentioned (waves 1 & 2) will be released this year the other "40" Hasbro spoke of will be next year. Which if history is any indication. Retail wont give us wave 3 until April 2013. Thus the reason I said 90% would be released "months later".

Nah, let the toys stay on their current schedule. It makes more sense for them to be out around the same time the game is about to hit. There's still plenty of older gems out there to pursue if Prime isn't your thing. (or even if it is and you're caught up on that)

I voted yes, because I want them naaoooo.
    But we won't get them.

Jazz, Prime and Shockwave are being released in August. Bruticus is a few months later, I think they said October. Then we get a huge hole until Spring.

    I hope they are!
I'm sure most will disagree with me, but I have reasons.
First of all, I don't really care about all these classics, just gimme mah game toys!
Second of all, it means we are 99.99999% sure to get ALL the Dinobots, probably some Voyagers, FOC Megatron, the aerialbots, Skywarp and Thundercracker, Ironhide, Ratchet, Cliffjumper, etc.

Trailbreaker, Hoist, (cause Hasbro does like easy repaints/retools), and Arcee would be nice as the Classics style. I kinda doubt FOC Megatron or Cliffjumper will be done, considering they're not that different from their WFC toys by the looks of it... I'm personally not that interested in Aerialbots unless they combine. I really hope for all the Dinobots to be released.

    8/48 != 0.1

Since the game will likely be sold for a while after its release date, especially with DLC, and since the active lifespan of a game is on the scale of years, it makes sense for retail product support to span that timeframe.

I mean, the crux of your argument here is "But I want them NOOOOOOOOOWWWWW", ignoring the complexities of marketing, manufacturing, and mass-retailing these toys.

    Wait. Hold on. What?

How does Product being pushed back in Gijoe effect Transformers in the slightest?
Vaguely you could argue that there is a void that retailers had planned to fill with gijoe figures.

Looking at the stores that did their modulars for the wave 1 retaliation toys. There really was'nt that many pegs.

There was also a statement from retailers earlier that they would just fill the space with spider man and Avengers toys anyway.
The Avengers toys have been selling really well. Even if collectors don't consider the toys to be anything special this round.

I know I'm getting a little toyark or Hisstank off topic in detail. But I'll be back on track immediately.
    ---
Seeing a wall of bumblebees all the time makes everyone want new deluxes.
Bumblebee is'nt even a Generations character this Round for two case assortments.
Pushing the line up is a gamble. Their calculateing the best time to release them is just before fall of cybertron.
Doing so earlier risks losing some sales for the lack of brand recognition.
The only benefit I see for collectors is that by 2013 we'll actually get Kickback, Ultra Magnus,
Starscream and Strafe sooner. Or avoid a situation like reveal the shield where retailers have no interest in continued product.

You guys do know that the first batch of wave 1 is packaged up and just sitting in a warehouse right now, right? Wave 1 was pushed back so the FoC figures wouldn't be old news by the time the FOC game came out. Hasbro originally set a June release for the figs.

Not to bump, but should this thread be turned into discussion about the Starscream/Kickback/Magnus/Sideswipe wave?
