I do it quite often, usually to save on postage as distribution is so erratic in the UK. I'll quite often buy cases at a time and sell off the doubles.

I did that at Botcon, haha. Luckily I was crazy ill and couldn't eat, which gave me even more money for plastic crack.
Haha, I may have a problem.

When I buy lots of them at a time, it's cause I found a "lot" of transformers on CL for cheap or fairly cheap... other than that, it's a calculated and well researched purchase. I don't make a crap load of money and have 3 kids and a wife that acts like a college student who spends money and parties on the regular so I really don't have money to splurge. Everything has to be calculated...

I splurge on a weekly basis. And regret it on a weekly basis.

I was spending $20k a month on Transformers alone for 6 months straight until I got everything I wanted.

It sure as hell took a toll on the amount of free space I have in my house.

I kind of wish I could go back and slowed it down a bit. Buying everything up quick takes the fun out of this hobby.

Botcon 2011. I have no idea how much I managed to spend (it easily got into four figures), but I came home with 91 Transformers.

I recently dropped some silly ass money over at RobotKingdom, mostly to complete TFC Hercules but also due to their 4 Shadow Microns giveaway promotion. I also just shipped my BBTS PoL (over $2K) that I had been building up slowly since summer of last year. Both should be arriving soon around mid-late this month. I'll be busy for a long while opening boxes and rearranging my collection trying to find room for them all, and trying to sell off some old and MISB stuff I don't want. XD

The wife also insisted I stick to a monthly budget due my recent RK splurging. Can't say I blame her.

honestly I get burnt out if I find like a new wave of 3 at the store and come home and open them all. by the time I get done with the second toy I'm usually just opening the 3rd to get it over and done with. for that reason I kinda like just finding A (as in 1) toy when I go out looking. makes me appreciate them more before they go on the shelf.

botshots though, I love buying multiple at one time. they are like instant gratification..just open and have fun. got all 4 of the newest ones last weekend and I have no problems opening a crapload of them at the same time :lol

The only time I really splurge is at BotCon. I save up year round for the convention and then drop cash in the dealer's room. If I limit the splurge to once a year with saved money, I love it. It's such a rush. However, it's just not smart to do it on a whim.

This is what I have out on display. I have way more put away in tubs filling a Giant room to the ceiling. I wish I had more room honestly but I also have a Video Arcade that takes up a good portion of my house as well.
