    Pretty much this.

Their focus at the moment is on pushing Prime, getting out figures on time to support FoC, and trying to beat out Lego/Bakugan/etc. marketshare with KRE-O and Bot Shots. Agree or disagree with this strategy all you will, but it doesn't leave room to pimp yet another line in with all that. Be thankful we're going to see MP-10 over here as it was meant to be, and use the year to catch up on G1 stuff you don't have!

Huh, I always though Lugnut was a Classics representation of the Animated character...

Thanks for the correction, but it still is tiresome with the repeat of threads from collectors whining about the lack of G1 attention.

Oh, look at that ... the OP literally made this thread already.

:lol  I'm working on it man! I have a ton of cool things I'm working on, hang tight.

In the spirit of this thread, I think we're also jumping the gun by saying there's going to be only one G1 related figure. We still have SDCC for new toy reveals and what not.

I agree that SDCC may include news about G1 inspired figures. I don't mind the lack of news all that much because I have some third party figures I want to buy and my main collection includes Masterpiece figures anyway. However, I do think it is a mistake to go long periods of time without G1 updates as most of the hardcore fans are G1 enthusiasts (even if they like other lines). G1 is the design aesthetic that serves as a foundation for the other lines and it is important to have some semi-regular releases to keep momentum going.

What's a long period of time though? Starting in 2006 with the Classics line I believe we haven't had more than a few months of downtime in between a G1 inspired toy. We have 40 slots of Generations figures due out ... do we really think it's gonna be all FOC?

I will believe Classics isn't dead when they finally release the Scourge-with-a-new head (Leozack or Ratbat) and Kup-with-a-new-head (no idea) like we saw in their respective instruction sheets.

Perhaps we could call it a bad year for Earth mode Transformers?

I'll add all the Fall of Cybertron figures to my collection because I'm a sucker for the pre-Earth stuff. But I've got to admit that I am just a little disappointed that Bot Con didn't have any Earth mode stuff for Generations.

That alternative Lugnut head is the only one I literally have no idea about who could it be.

I'm still waiting for a neo-G1 cartoon like He-Man and TMNT got. Hell, I'd settle for a War for Cybertron cartoon.

    FOC toys are Classics.
and I suppose the TRU MP Optimus is too.

I'm not to bothered about a gap in releases I could do with a breather and I'd rather be buying things like Cyclops without feeling that it's taking away from Hasbro buys.

I find it difficult to pay premium prices for Hasbro toys as they get smaller and more expensive, I just can make myself pay premium prices for FE toys - If I had no plans to pay £12.99 For Starscream I see no need to pay more than £20.00 for him.

There's one or two amusing bits in the Hasbro Asia Releases but nothing epsecially outstanding - I might buy the Bulkhead rehead though I suppose. and the others i'll need to see more of before I decide.

I try to buy what I actually want to play with these days before I buy things I buy jut because I'm supposed to be a Collector of these things... even if their choices at Hasbro and Takara of late leave me sometimes less than completely excited sometimes.

I miss Energon and Cybertron as those tosy were endlessly versatile or good looking while respectful to the past - Prime is Alright but titchy, Movie toys feel like old hat these days and Pre-Earth Toys would excite me more if they consistant sizes or characters I was more interested in once you get beyond wave 1.

Neo-G1 TMNT? What show were you watching, man? That was based more on the original comics than the 1980s cartoon.
