I must applaud some of you, since it seems not all Transformers fans have that "Must have at any price" mentality. Nice work. :)

Browsing through Ebay, I have noticed that the "Buy it now" price for the Vehicon (RID of course) is down to 35 dollars. It was at 50 when I ranted about scalpers...whatever day that was...so with other States finally getting their shipments, I guess the ones who bought theirs early need to quickly sell theirs before they are stuck with them. lol

I would have figured that every listing on Ebay would have sold at 50 bucks, but no. Instead, only a few sold...while the rest dropped down. I'm guessing that they will eventually hit at about 25 dollars and stay there.

So I tip my hat to you patient collectors. :)

You launch into this holy crusade against "scalpers"....

Yet where are the hordes of folks on here that are pissed about people selling vehicons for profit....that are oddly silent when the botcon craze of selling starts and and do the same damned thing except with different transformers?

I love the double standards...really love it.

I love those folks...you are one...who post that the most i will pay is $ X amount shipped....and then proceed to rant about the world and scalpers and other folks are douches because they are selling and buying things at more of a price than "you will pay"

dude...we do not live in Russia or on a planet where stuff will be the price that you want to pay....fuck that would be a cool world...but sorry...not happening.

I only rant about figures that personally affect me. Also, with Botcon exclusives (or any rare convention piece) OF COURSE IT WILL BE EXPENSIVE! That's the point! Most of them are actually RARE! Vehicons are NOT rare! They are sold at many places other than just ONE CONVENTION. Yeah, the people buying these figures just to make a buck are still assholes in my opinion, but they are a different type compared to the ones who hang out in front of stores waiting for them to open. I have two Vehicons, and will have NO problem finding my other two to complete my four team set. If I wanted four of ANY convention exclusive, then it would be expensive.

I wanted to show those people who were on the fence about spending a ridiculous amount for a Vehicon that the prices are in fact going down. Was I supposed to let this topic die? Were people offended by it? Did it tarnish the respectability of the site any? o_0

Scalpers are goddamn trash. It's altering the market, and you know it. Botcon is an exclusive, and therefore demands higher prices when the supply is low.

    Ec-o-nom-ics.

Current supply of Vehicons is low too, at least not high enough to meet the demand at the retail price, if it wasn't, people wouldn't be buying/selling them at higher than retail prices.

    Ec-o-nom-ics.

Want to beat the scalpers, learn stock dates, either show up when they stock at Walmart, or at opening on stock dates at other stores, make connections in your community. If someone is willing to pay more than retail, then their time is worth more to them than the money. Hell, I wouldn't pay someone to install blinds for me, but my sister paid $1,500-$2,000 to have it done. She also has a housecleaner. Why? Maybe it is because she isn't the cleanest person, but if you are working 70-80 hours per week, you don't want to spend your free time doing stuff that you don't want to do. Same thing for toys. I generally don't buy retail stuff online, but these "boogieman scalpers" are godsends to people who would rather pay extra to have the item than have to go out and waste time searching for it.
