Terrific, spent all my money on the sets and now they bring out the Kreons again, actually though this is good news I'm definitely buying that set, especially if they turn the Kreons into Micro-Changers, but even if they don't I'm picking it up. My Red Alert has started to get a minor crack in the torso and my Mirage broke one of his hands so he can't hold weapons anymore in it. This way I can replace the Kreons if they break or are broken without having to buy doubles of the damn sets.

Come on Sideswipe and Ratchet, both of them cracked their torsos and I'd like to replace them with no broken versions if you please Hasbro.

 

Nah, no alt mode. I usually think the Kreon alt modes are kinda goofy. (Or in the case of Perceptor, REALLY goofy)

 

Where did you get the decal for him? or did you personally make it? And is there a pdf or something with it? haha I would love to nab that if its ok.

 

Shamelessly copied from Optimist Prime's Sandstorm, minor tweaks based on the parts I had available. Need to change the head whenever I get a non-grumpy one...
The 'boots' don't match the torso's orange as well as the pic implies.

Finally got around to painting Brawn's helmet.

Yellow paint on black plastic = not the best idea. I do like the color breakup, though; I'll just have to rework it.

Looking less like Shockwave and more like Ratbat now.

I thought this had happened to me as well, when i saw the sealed bag only had 3 of them. then I realized, the forth one is part of divebombs tail. chances are you had his figure already assembled before building predaking, check his tail!

 

My Predaking. Overall, this one is probably my least favorite of the 4. So many things that are off... The mixed-up names, the heads, the general lack of yellow and black pieces... But it was still fun. Glad I saved this one for last, though, because I needed the experience from the first three to make the most out of this weird thing.  
And yeah, as you'll see, I had some bad luck with missing pieces too... Mine is missing one of the grey cones that forms his toe cannon.  

Version 1: Better color balance, smaller and more fragile wings, Rampage's "paws" on the back to "support" the wings...
I really don't like having the red kreon parts hanging on his right arm but he badly needed some red on that arm.

Version 2: A bit too much grey. But a bigger chest and bigger, more stable wings. I ended up swapping around some pieces on the arms later. And I figured out that the katana can fit inside the gun barrel and act as tip for the gun.

Also I'm selling my Barricade, Vehicon, and Autobot Trooper kreons now. I plan to get rid of any that aren't G1 or BW.

 

When I build in alt mode, I usually twist the head so the face doesn't show. That being said, I was playing with bludgeon last night. Aside from taking off his helmet to twist his head, I was able to transform him. Not rebuild, but literally transform him. I thought that was pretty cool.

Venom strike is an easy pass, not too keen on the snake and doesnt look like it has much more in there. It will probably cost the same as decepticon ambush.

 

thanks for that, but the ones in the link are totally unique builds with alt modes and different head sculpts than anything ive seen in kreo yet, also they look as good on the tank and jeep models.

 

I can totally see me buying hurrican warrior and making bw cheetor, doom fightor is an easy bulkhead, blade warriors head could make a fembot.

 

Believe me I've been looking. Can't find them anywhere.

Definitely not worth the $7.99 CDN regular price, but even at $5.57 CDN sale price + tax at TRU, I still kinda feel ripped off. Not sure what the price is in US$ for you.

The blind pack singles, and Vehicon/Autotrooper troop builder sets are better in terms of value IMO. But I guess for those who love the beast stuff, it'll be great. I'll assume those who'll combine all the parts to make a bigger and scarier beast will benefit most.

 

That TRU price kills me, it's a total ripoff. Suggested retail is $3.99.
