I found Smokescreen at my canadian Toys R Us today. He's better than I thought he would be. The only real downside is his poorly painted head. Really nice figure overall.

Okay, that BH Knockout is growing on me. I dismissed it at first but I don't think I'll be able to ignore it much longer.

BH experts, purely from a design and aesthetics point of view, what are the top Beast Hunter toys? I loved Prime but was iffy for beast hunters, but saw a few gems and I was wondering what would be a good "first sample" of the series? like your best of the best recommendations

Top figures, IMO, are Voyager Grimwing, Voyager Shockwave, and Ultimate Predaking. I actually don't like any of the other BH toys, to be honest.

Grimwing's what got me thinking, and I read thru the review thread on him, too. I have already gotten Shockwave and BH Magnus, both imo, are really nice figures. I am considering Grimwing atm, and was wondering about the deluxes too

Shockwave and Ultra Magnus are excellent and Grimwing is right up there with them.

His robot mode is really well proportioned and has a really striking design.

The only Deluxe I'd recommend is Smokescreen...and that's only because he's an in-show character that never got another U.S. release (aside from the Legends figure). The other characters are either decent looking dragons with weird bot modes, or crappy resculpts of older figures.

all the Autobot deluxes are alright, I think they're all fun but none are anything special really. The new Dreadwing is a fun toy but not very complicated, the Starscream is fun, and soundwave is...ok. The Predacon Deluxes are all great though! Their Awesome!! I would definitely recommend BH Optimus Prime and Smokescreen for completion of the show characters and for Preadaking I would wait for the 2014 Voyager it looks really nice

Everyone's opinion varies. My top pics though so far: Lazerback, Ripclaw, and BH Optimus Prime. Though most of the BH line has been phenomenal. Even the first wave Bumblebee is worth checking out.

BH Prime is one of those that I am swinging back and forth about; it looks great, and at the same time it looks... meh, I dunno. I am debating on that everytime I pass by one. What's the 2014 Voyager predaking? Is it a retooling?

Thanks for each and everyone's post, I mean, hearing your opinion about which is good and bad, gives me a good amount of data, esp those that almost universially everyone here claims as good.

It's an upsized version of the Cyberverse Commander Predaking with a new tail that forms his 'Infernum Blade'. May feature a couple of other changes here and there. If you can get past the dragon mode head just hanging off his back, he might be worth looking into.

It supposed to be big too. I'm picturing a size between the '13 voyager mold and the ultimate mold, maybe closer to the voy mold. Could be wrong though.
