Apologies if this has already been asked, but does anyone have a favorite Prime show design translated to toy? Some animation designs in the past have been notoriously difficult to get right-

    From TFA
Blacharachnia (could have been a better toy- hands showing in front?)
Swindle (lackluster transformation and floppy chest joint)
Jetstorm twins (sucked as toys individually and combined quite frankly)

And yet the Prime CGI designs are being translated to toy form with seeming exquisite ease-

Soundwave (looks dead-on to the show)
Starscream (despite a spindly CGI design the toy looks great, even at Cyberverse scale)
Megatron (eerily close to the CGI model at all scales as well)
Ratchet (although a decent vehicle mode but unfortunately missing the whip antenna, the bot mode is gorgeous)

My personal favorite thus far is Soundwave. Not only is the design from the show super/uber sexy, but the toy matches this look and feel quite well! The one and only thing the toy is lacking is a nice 'harmonic readout' on his faceplate, but that's nothing a reprolabels after market fix can't take care of.

So.. who are your favorite translations from Prime show to toy?

^totally agree with your statement! IMHO, apart from FE Prime, Soundwave and SS are the ones which for me, have been successfully translated into toy from. too awesome for words. :D

P.S. this thread is going great so far! mucho bueno. :D

soundwave's one of my favorites too. spot on with the show, detailed and looks great in both forms especially as a drone. i especially like what they did with the AM by adding the doctor octopus arm:

starscream's nice too. i just like that lean look both figures have. megatron actually looks a lot better in hand and the light color isn't as bad as it looks in pictures

    >4 Fe primes
    >3 Fe bulkheads

God, I am so jelly. they are the only other two FE I have interest in (I don't care much about Cliff, and I prefer the RiD vehicon) and they are way too pricey for me now.. $80 is just too much to pay for a single voyager class toy. Even if the upcoming RiD version is infinitely inferior...

    Dammit, Hasbro.

Wow, sweet pics everyone. Starting to regret passing on some RiD figures.

    Here's my collection thus far:
    FE Bumblebe
    FE Arcee
    RiD Cliffjumper
    RiD Wheeljack
    RiD Soundwave
    Cyberverse Vehicon x1

My camera doesn't have the best quality but if I have time tomorrow I may or may not take some pics.

To be absolutely honest. I love the PRID voyager Megs & OP.. Even with that "cape" I think the PRID OP is an outstanding figure. May eventually get the voyager FE... But I am completely content with what I have. Also the FE Starscream, Arcee, & Bumblebee are quite awesome. I LOVE PRID Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, Ratchet & Soundwave... And to be absolutely 100%, I'm going crazy waiting on Knockout to be released. Solely based on pictures, he looks absolutely gorgeous.

Also, I am overly excited with the whole Arms Micron thing... But I hate having to buy 3rds of everything that I have just for the Microns, hopefully down the line I can get lucky and score all the Microns for a decent cost.. I wish they could have incorporated that into the American show/toys.

I kind of wish I could see pics of all these Arms Microns, and I really wish Hasbro would figure out how to bring them here. Because I'm not buying all of the Takara Product just to get them when I've already spent money on all the Hasbro Product. I never double dip on lines from the two companies.

My Prime Collection is getting a real workout in my Funnies Thread, and more is joining them every day.

    Scrapper6's Prime Collection Currently:
    FE Voyager Prime
    FE Deluxe Prime
    FE Bumblebee
    FE Arcee
    FE Cliffjumper
    RiD Wheeljack
    RiD Arcee Cyberverse
    RiD Cliffjumper Cyberverse
    RiD Autobot Ratchet Cyberverse
    Raf
    Miko
    Jack
    FE Deluxe Megatron
    FE Starscream
    RiD Soundwave/Laserbeak
    RiD Vehicon Cyberverse

None of the Cyb Commanders have shown up in Canada yet, but when they do I'll be on the prowl once more. I also need to pick up five more Vehicons from the Legion Class and Bumblebee, but that will come in time. I'm still holding out for Takara's version of Voyager Megatron, but if we don't get confirmation of him coming out soon I'll just have to get RiD Voyager Megs.

I'm not taking any Collection Pics until after I get the rest of Wave One I want, by then perhaps wave two will be out and I can get a Deluxe Ratchet to join the Autobots.

My only complaint about the molds so far... Well Soundwave's legs don't like pegging together completely in the rear, I suspect this is a common problem though.

I do not have favorite lines, I don't love any of them more than any other one, so in my eyes all Transformers Lines are equal in coolness, yes even Hasbro's slap-dash cross promotional Animorphs line. Those figures pulled off some really great and detailed beast forms, a pity the human forms couldn't equally match that greatness. (I've since sold off practically all of my Animorphs by now anyway.)

I'm waiting for Hasbro to repaint the Cliffjumper mold as a different character before I buy the RiD one, I'm sure they will. They already made Hot Shot out of Bee and so I won't feel bad about skipping yet another Bumblebee in favor of the blue deco Hot Shot, who looks ten times better with that mold anyway.

So, how about it? Anybody got pics of the Arms Microns to share?

The RID Prime is an amazing figure.. I couldn't reccomend it enough. Definitely bang for your buck playability/poseability.. And best of all it's super easy to find. Gotta love it when they do that.

What he said! I picked up RID Prime on a whim yesterday and I haven't been able to put him down since. Slap a Classics Jetfire rifle in his hand and he is ready to blast some Decepticons.

I still want a damn FE version, but really, RID Prime is a very nice figure. I'd definitely recommend picking one up!

Also, I think I'm starting to have a change of heart to PRID Hotshot. Originally I hated every inch of it for being a Bumblebee Repaint, but the more I think about it, the more I think I've found a (personal) solution of making the best out of a bad situation. I, like many others will be army building Vehicons. I plan on getting 10 of them... Nothing too large, but certainly the size of a few squads.. But I find that I want to even the playing field, and in turn clear some much needed Brick & Mortar shelfspace to make my Vehicon building a bit easier, not by much, but still a little helps. So I think I'm going to army build the Hotshots. And that'll probably give me the drive to take a stab to finally start customizing.. Give them all some minor differences.. Let's face it.. The Hotshots will most likely warm the shelves being packed 3 to a case(?).. And he's just generic enough to army build. As soon as Wave 3 comes out, and I finish the lot of it, I'll definitely be posting pics here.
