I dislike the never-ending swarms of Bumblebees as much as you do, but you ought to know that online petitions NEVER make any difference. Even less so in this case, where the Bumblebees are earning Hasbro mad bank.

    "Fans": "We're tired of Bumblebee!"

Hasbro: "We're not making them for you, tubby. Get a haircut and move out of the basement."

I see just as many Wheeljacks and Cliffjumpers sitting as Bumblebees. But I wouldn't say any single store I've seen yet is overloaded with them to the point where they can't/wont order new cases.

Count me out. I hardly see an issue.

I agree. I'm sick of seeing BB threads like this *sigh*

    Kids love BB

Man children and Neck Beards do not.

It seems in my area, for the amount of BBs being shipped, they are selling better then the non-BB characters. I probably see more Wheeljacks, Cliffjumpers then I do BBs. Guess Hasbro does know what they are doing putting so many BBs in a case.

Christ, I'm sick of threads bitching about it, that's for sure. It's not the topic itself, but can't we just keep it to one topic?

Same here. Unfortunately, because Bayformers Bumblebee got the majority of screentime out of all the other bots and cons, the focus of the live action movies in respect to Transformer characters became him when you ignore all the time Spam and MiKool-Aid got in 1 and 2.

So pulling the Bumblebee toys out of the market and pouring money into new molds might hurt more than help Hasbro. This isn't just the whole "Making new steel molds costs more" argument.

It's kinda not invisible when you think about the proportion of toys to on screen appearances.
Have a different opening sequence for the first movie: Focus all on Ape-Scream's journal logs, search for Weaving-tron, then shift to Spam getting his first car, and proceed on from there.

Makes ya wonder would Ape-Scream get the same treatment.

It's intersting because back when ROTF was out the figure that was the hardest to find was Sideswipe. If Bumblebee is the most popular why isn't he selling? It could just be because there aren't many collectors in my town but even so it seems the one figure that you can find anywhere is Bumblebee. That's not a good thing.

I signed. Not for myself, of course, but for all those children who work for every cent to purchase Transformers, in brave defiance of our nation's child labor laws.

When you mention that, it might have to do with time. It could be due to confidence placed in Movie Bumblebee remaining the iconic mascot of the films. With new characters introduced... that might have changed for your case.

Collectors? I leaning towards the impression that kids lost interest in Bay-Bee. He was created as the "kids' mascot hero".

Come to think of it, most blog sites and teens that saw ROTF always quote Bayswipe's "Damn, I'm good" and even non-TF fans that watched the movie justified buying a Bayswipe figure was because of his "design".

So vacationing in AZ and the Walmart is NOT drowning in Bees AND has 2 ratchets and an Arcee on the pegs. Obviously bee is doing very good business in Tucson. So just another data point to consider.

"I would like hasbro to give up all legal rights to Transformers and give them to the 3rd party companies whom are actually making toys which the public desire"

I like how the OP states in his petition that it's not a joke, and the first comment on it is the biggest fucking joke I've ever seen.

Seriously though, I'm currently ok with how things are going. Outside of Soundwave, I can easily find all the PRIDE deluxes in my local stores, and the Cyberverse figures are restocked so regularly that I can waltz in and find Arcees and Vehicons whenever I want.

How many lines have we seen it where there is nothing on the shelf but Iron Man, Spider Man, Wolverine, Duke, or some other hero and no other figures? If the retailers and manufacturers haven't done anything about the over abundance of one character in a toy line by now then it's unlikely they will ever do anything about it.
