Can you use your Super Mod powers to make some new heads for me? I'm abysmal at anything that isn't a straight parts-swap or part replacement . . .

*Laughs* I'll try to get a semi-decent camera and take some pics of the autotroopers (much of my stuff is tucked into boxes/stacked on shelves at the moment). I think my Botcon boyos might be loose, I'll check^^ I think I also have one of the heads my friend cast for me unused, so I'll take a pic of that and plunk it on a Botcon Autotrooper as it's the same mold and all.

I saw a post about the Junkions above and while I have a veritable army of them, I consider them their own faction/neutrals and thus didn't include them in my Autobot list^^ (oops) I do wish MaidenJapan was still making the custom noggins and chestplates. While I have a handful of the noggins... I do not have the chestplates - while I put in a large order for such, it was unfortunatly when MaidenJapan went 'under' and ceased making/releasing the items - thus, no unique chestplates for me :(  I'm still sorting out the paint jobs I want them to have, so while they have the heads ON they're unpainted^^. Also I could do with more of them.

While I have a large NUMBER of MP Seekers, I haven't yet had time to start repainting them into their own individuals... plus I still need more Screamers and Warps^^ C'mooooon Hasbro, release them both in large numbers!^^

While I plan for DX9's Andras to be my Scourge, the classics Sweeps are perfect for army building in my mind. I'll have to find all of them and get them standing together to show the full troops^^
Same for the TFP Vehicons (I love that the 'watchdogs' in The Ulimate Doom prt3 give leeway for Vehicons in my mostly G1 Marvel UK collection^^ ...Have I mentioned I'm a TOTAL geek?)

Rook could work as an Autotrooper. I could buy he's a generic bot under armor. I was at one point trying to army build RotF Brawn and RtS Fallback. If you can get a bunch of c-clip weapons you can create a whole unit fairly well. RotF Armorhide can be sprinkled in there too.

Yup, by sheer bad luck all my troop builders are currently in storage bins. I'll dig them out sometime in the near future^^ BUT 3 of my Botcon ones were out and the spare head was in my 'head' bin, so it was easy to pop it on

Well, if you'd like I can send you one of them, so long as I get it back after you cast it (as I do plan to use it once I get another TFA Ratchet^^) I can also send you one of the Botcon Autotrooper noggins as well, if you'd like to cast that^^

Note for the Altenators Autotrooper head. It's larger than the official toy's head, and a bit wider (and the ball joint it was designed for is bigger

I solved this in more than one way depending on which of my kitbashes I pick up. Two of them I simply added material to the socket joint in the autotrooper head. Two of them I swapped the ball joint out on. the last one I used a combo as I accidentally used a balljoint too small when I swapped them. ^^
On the heads, I shaved the side-fins down a bit and they still transform, esp if I turn the heads around so the back is 'out' when folding the head away

Now if I could just find some Autotrooper SYMBOLS on clear backing :/

Edit: Forgot to add, a while back I found this Shapeways Autotrooper head designed for the TFP-RiD Ratchet. It also looks rather cool and would likely work.

That's interesting (Using Crosscut as an Autotrooper). The headmold certainly works^^

What did fall of Cybertron use as drones when playing the Decepticon missions?

Thought it was a different colored Warpath.

Back when they could be had in droves at Five Below, I bought a whole clutch of Chopsaws to be used as alternative Junkions.

I agree with the notion of using Rook, or a Headswap'd CW Prowl as Autotroopers.

A bit on the expensive side, but I think the General Optimus Prime/Sgt. Hound 2-pack from this year's Botcon could work as a troopbuilder set, their heads are generic enough and they come with a ton of weapons. If you could still find them, maybe also consider PCC Steelshot and Heavytread?

All the generics from FoC were mish-mashes of parts from existing character models.
