Finally got one of my most sought after grails, the E-Hobby Destron Mini-bot set! Got another minty '85 yellow Bee for $5, hehe:
Thanks! I think they're super cool too, the back story being they're from another dimension adds to my interest, I love alternate reality stories.
When I started collecting again early this year I stared with the '84 pre-rub minibots. I was just going to collect minibots. Well the collecting bug hit me hard again and plans changed. I ended up collecting a bunch of G1. I finally did come back though and finish my minibot set. Love these little dudes.
Oh, it's MIB, the owner told me he opened it back when he got in 2004. Just inspected but did not transform the figures, returned them back to the box and has been in storage since then. The box is mint too, no flap crease or anything, just a little ding in the lower left corner. Love them too, just a few more, then I can consider my collection "complete", Bumblejumper, '85 red and yellow Cliffjumpers, Antex orange.
Like you, I got the minibot fever too. I got back into collecting this year as well, and it started with opening a box of my old G1's, only to find a mint, tight-jointed Bumblejumper that I never knew I had Besides the usual G1 suspects, I also bought the G2s, the three Botcon minibots, the Encore reissues, and Orion Pax w/ Dion. I would love to own the E-Hobby Gobots, but I'd want them loose so as to better display them (and hopefully pay less for them...) I'd also like the all-black chase keychain set, but they're WAAAAAAAY too much money. As a matter of fact, the only G1 minibot I don't have yet is a prerub Bumblebee (or one with a rubsign, for that matter). If anyone has one with tight joints I'd be interested.
Yeah, planning to take photos of the bots this weekend. Good that you have Bumblejumper, he's the only one I'm missing from the pre-rub Minibots.
I can't find a better place to say this, but I once saw a show where this guy buys and sells old toys from people, and the guy couldn't figure out which toy G1 Bumper was.
I've seen Bumper/Bumblejumper listed as Bumblebee on Ebay several times. And yellow Cliffjumper as well as Hubcap listed as Bumblejumper too.
Thanks, he's my favorite too. Its hard to tell from the reflections off the chrome in the crappy pic, but he's almost mint. Near perfect chrome, and great stickers. I have had two, the one I sold was really rough, this one is a keeper.
I really love the Violet colored one. Please tell me you made it a "Female" Decepticon. Did you give it a name?
That one is a Dairycon exclusive called Crackup. Only about 60 were made, I posted pics with the packaging a couple pages back.
