Got my Magnus yesterday, he unceremoneiously booted Ironhide off from Maximus's left shoulder. He had loose shoulders too but a dab of superglue and we're all good.

 

Found Flamewar, Wheeljack and Black Bumblebee in Walmart this morning. Looks like these slowing becoming common on the pegs.

 

Got "Black"head and "Cliff"gate today. They are even better looking in hand surprisingly.

 

You will all be pleased to know that (for some majestic reason), they still had him and I just bought him. And yes, he is amazing.


Although that also means that I skipped on the Ultra Magnus that they had, lol.

 

Ultra Magnus pales next to Dreadwing. Welcome to the clan, Nope.

Also, saw the new Nightwatch Optimus. The new paintjob and headsculpt can do wonders.

Yup. The colors are wonderful, even the yellow eyes. Everything feels more completed, opposed to the swashes of silver default Prime. However, I have noticed a concerning looseness in Nightwatch's joints that wasn't there in the original.

They really do. Optimus became one of my favorites over those changes.

 

I feel kind of sad. Now that I have Ultra Magnus, there's only repaints to look forward to for the rest of the year.  

I mean, they're mostly good repaints like Skyquake and Flamewar, but it's not the same as new molds.

 

I agree, but you may like Colgate and Bulkhead as well. They both look pretty good. This repaint drought will only make 2013 that much better. Airachnid should come out on January 1st.

 

Anyone noticed that all of the Commanders (besides Optimus, Megatron, and Starscream) all have the same functions? Both Bulkhead figures, Ironhide, and Ultra Magnus are all "Heavy Munitions", and Dreadwing and Skyquake (and Breakdown, for that matter) are all "Demolitions Experts".

 

I noticed that too. They could have gotten more creative with their functions. Ultra Magnus could have been "Wrecker Commander" or something like that, and Ironhide could have been "Weapons Specialist."

Come to think of it, I believe Knockout's packaging lists him as "Weapons Specialist."

Yeah, it will be interesting to see what they do with Airacnhid. However they design her, it can't possibly turn out as bad as the Deluxe.

 

I for one am eager to see the figure, it'll probably be rather excellent with possible knee joints on top of ball shoulder and hips.



I got my Ultra Magnus today. He's a beast. Love'em.

 

I recently got Ultra Magnus, Ironhide, Flamewar, Breakdown and Dreadwing. My Ultra Magnus is on the floppy side unfortunately. Tightening the shoulder joints still didn't help either. I love Dreadwing and Ironhide. Breakdown is pretty cool and Flamewar is the same as Arcee.

 

Just picked up Hyperspeed Wheeljack. Who I just realized was an homage to Marlboor Wheeljack...(I kinda hope Reprolabels makes a set for him)
