Just got a G1 Snapdragon. What a cool toy. All three modes are nice, and I love how the single headmaster pulls double duty.

Which leads to this next question: Which G1 sub-lines, teams, figures do you DISLIKE the most?

My answer: A big chunk of the 1986 cast

I gotta say that the Firecons are so bad . . . .

    . . . . they're good! They still have a certain appeal simply because they're G1.

I rather like the '86 cast, but I can see why some may not. 1987 was a bit magical to me since the show stopped, and thus created quite a bit of mystery for me as a kid. I appreciate them even more now as an adult.

I think Pointblank has the most beautifully sculpted face and head since the Diaclone days.

I was comparing ultra magnus (diaclone mold) to Galvatron (original mold) , UM is so much more fun to play with!

Least favorite G1, i would personally say Action masters and Micromasters. Ive skipped them in my collection in favour of japanese G1, Euro G1.5 and g2 (original molds)

I love micromasters! Haha. Briccy will kill you, lol. J/K :)

Action masters are so puzzling. They were supposed to have been introduced because fans wanted more articulation. But they turned out to be not very articulated. I even have a hard time making them stand upright, sometimes, haha

Most of all, I dislike Micromasters (and Brr-icy has already been the benefactor of that dislike, considering he now owns a couple of mine).

Although truth be told: coincidently, last night I was cleaning up my Countdown and (mainly) his rocketbase, in preparation of a new Reprolabels treatment, and man, that thing is absolutely ACE. Even I have to say that it makes Micromasters look good.

I only own one Actionmaster, Mainframe, and he's still MOC, so I don't really have an opinion on Actionmasters. They do look pretty good, to be honest, even if they can't Transform. I've also always had a soft spot for the ugliest Transformers; for example, I recently bit the bullet on a MIB G1 Crossblades, a Transformer that is a true failure in the looks department, in my opinion.

Something I was wondering (and this isn't so much a question about shelfwarmers), but is there any idea of which Headmasters or Targetmasters were most popular at the time?

I know there was the comic and The Rebirth but it is just interesting that these were to some extent the first TFs that were judged more on what they were as toys, without the show there to support them.

Awesome pics, man. Always love and never get tired of seeing pics like that of a proper Japanese centric TF display store. :rock : Kudos for that haulage as well. Looks to be a good and fruitful trip, no? :D

I just hate the Rodimus Prime toy, it is the worst toy ever in the history of G1. I was so disappointed with it.

I can relate to the Action Masters, "what do you mean Transformers that don't transform???" But I came across a Prowl Action Master with a transforming motorcycle that kind of caught my fancy. Haven't gotten him so can't confirm yet.

My contribution: Pretenders. Some people love 'em, I just don't see it. The appeal that is.

The G1 toys for the movie characters are just plain awful in my opinion. If I was to collect figures for those characters I'd go the CHUG route. Generally I don't like the CHUG figures but I think they did a much better job with the movie characters than the original G1 line did.

This is exactly what I did. I really wanted a movie display, but was so disappointed in the movie figures. I sold them all off and bought classics and 3p versions of the characters. Now I'm satisfied :)

    I'm still very much a G1 fan, though :)
