That's Land Commander 5 from the Machine Robo line. He was supposed to b released under the GoBots line as Nemesis, but got canceled for some reason.

Nucleon Quest Prime looks a bit out of place being so short, so my plan is to send that extra God Bomber out to be chromed so he can stand tall like Fire Guts & God Ginrai.

That black Ginrai looks cool! What kind of edition is it?

Congratulations for the 44 Magnum. Never liked that robot very much, but it's a piece of history.

 

That was a Japanese TRU Exclusive. For the life of me I can't figure out why they didn't include God Bomber/Apex Armor with it since it came out at the same time Fire Guts Ginrai came out.

First time handling the 44 Magnum mold, it was pretty much what I expected. Not my favorite transformation, or robot mode, but it is a nice piece of TF history.

 

Because it's supposed to represent Optimus Prime, not Ginrai.

 

g2 optimus actually looks pretty good as ultra magnus. lol i had forgotten how good he looks. i never got a chance to pick up that repaint! lol i probably should at some point.

 

Also I just discovered Steeljaw's torso actually extends for beast mode. Go me.

 

Unfortunately, they messed it up and printed it on the wrong way round, with the mane on its ass... Even the reissues have this problem.

 

It's probably because all the animal cassettes have the tape details on the right side. Plus Steeljaw has the huge ass pin heads on the left side.

 

I'm surprised Reprolabels hasn't gotten around to making one with the design mirrored the right way.

Nice looking Thunderwing, he's a lot of fun, I love the Mega Pretenders and their ability to use their shells as alt-modes.

I was lucky enough to get a complete Thunderwing for free a few years ago from a friend that had kept all of his childhood toys in mint condition.

Haha, Thunderwing made me break my "no pretenders over $30" rule, and so did the other megas, but i'm doing great on the rest. Nice pick up, looks minty

Yeah, I discovered I couldn't get just the shell alone on ebay to replace the one sold by a Finnish seller so I decided to spare myself the trouble and bought one from a German seller. The shipping was only marginally more (but the toy wasn't).

I think some of his pins might be rusted or something because parts like his toes and the cockpit hinge are really tight.
