I found out that the devastator I have is a us version circa first run.pretty awesome.

whats the top ten most hilarious looking g1 figures? I have warpath and his robot mode is the funniest thing ive seen on a toy. I feel the same for ironhide and wreck gar.is there any others that well look a little funny but in a charming way?

Die cast shouldn't reveal the colour underneath. That appears to be purple plastic that has been chromed.

    All the best

Liokaiser is by far my favorite, Raiden is my second. for US ones, Devastator.

Didn't buy him yet, lumped with pretenders on the priority list, so maybe later this year,

Firecons, but I don't think they have the charm thing down lol.

The legs? No. Those are purple plastic with chrome silver paint.

The sliding part to transform him is diecast, but that is common.

Cosmos and the Powerdashers come to mind.

If you're open to collecting other toylines I can recommend looking into GoBots/Machine Robo (Screw Head is a good example) and checking out the UFO Commander Brain-3 figure (which may not entirely fit the bill as it was purposely designed to be funny and endearing).

Speaking of Generation One Toys Appreciation, I really do love that about the original toys. The sliding mechanism to transform so many of them was and is really cool. I get a sense of satisfaction transforming them when they have that feature. :D

Was re-arranging my displays and had a bunch of G1's that couldn't fit anywhere else, so I decided to make Autobot and Decepticon random teams that have at least one of each from '84-'91:

I might sell the Tech Specs, Instruction booklets, Card backs, as complete collections. Not sure yet, but I'll keep you posted.

I'm selling because it's just a huge collection, and I feel it weighs me down too much. In this day and age, and the global economy the way it is, I rather be light on possessions, and be more nimble for any potential life changes.

    I love random pics.
Looks like Sky Lynx found a new best friend in Rad :)
Rumble is enjoying hanging with Cons even smaller than he is.
I also thought it was funny Fixit is apparently the medic for the whole Autobot group. Looks like he's going to need a stepladder :D

Yeah, I didn't have any '90 Autobots and was running out of space so I figured that Fixit would be the most recognizable Micromaster, plus the team needed someone other than Wheeljack to fix them up.

These are the kind of TF pics I enjoy the most! Creative displaying!

Nice to see some 80's and 90's TFs mixed-up. And on a familiar Ikea Billy, moreover :D
