Finding the words for the end of a series of photos about a certain Combiner group is kinda hard. Especially when those words would probably just reflect what was said about each individual limb or torso bot. Then the words just become redundant. There’s not much left to say about the Terrorcons except that they are exactly the sum of their parts, one beautiful monstrous mess of a character and an awesome looking Combiner.

    Abominus

As mindless, yet as strong and powerful as they come. No point in directing this Decepticon weapon because this is just a rainbow chunk of destruction. Just say “ready, fire!” Aim not required.

Very well proportioned when all put together. There’s a beautiful and dangerous asymmetry to Abominus.

Hard pressed to call this team my favorite G1 Decepticon Combiner Team, but they do give the Constructicons a run for their money. Definitely some of my favorite monsters!

Thank you! I hope you enjoyed the whole Terrorcon series. It was a lot of fun to shoot ‘em and play with ‘em.

Merry Christmas everyone. Best present ever from my wife. Growing up in the UK me and my brother didn't have access to Swoop, and the fact hes boxed up like he would be in the 80s well made up. I'll add the stickers later all part of the original nostalgia fun! 20201225_090714.jpg 20201225_103406.jpg 20201225_103414.jpg 20201225_090705.jpg

Of all the lovely trinkets and odd things my gracious relatives gave me this morning, probably the most noteworthy was an original Blitzwing, minus missiles. His stickers are crap and he's a bit loose, but that's just how I like 'em...loved, but not destroyed.

I can't post pics right now, but my initial thoughts are:
    • He's heavy!
    • The turret moves around a lot for the transformation.
    • He's both smaller and bigger than I expected.
    • Transformation's full of twists and turns, quite enjoyable and intuitive.
    • I'm somewhat worried about paint chipping on his grey (thighs, nosecone, etc.).
    • What genius designed him?

Congratulations, I am also one that knows the sadness of certain figures not being released in the UK. I've now got a few Swoops and very impressed with him.

More congratulations, I find he is tiny, especially lining him up with my seekers.

    Belated Merry Christmas all!

Got most of the US releases now in some shape or form, just Shockwave now I need probably get a reissue. Most of my g1 are original well played with. I was lucky to get a lot of the US stuff when I brought my brothers best friends collection off him as he used to go for family holidays in the states and tryed to get those releases.

I find the seekers themselves tiny, but I saw them before I saw Blitzwing, so I dunno if that affected my view of him at all.
    Yay! You too.

But now I can! Completing my big Christmas haul photo dump, here he is. And yeah, he’s loose in many places. The turret just wiggles around, and after learning the turret is easily and safely removable, I found that his barrel locking mechanism is completely bent out of shape. Should I try and heat his plastic then reshape it?

    Anyway, pictures! Big boom tank!

He has actual tailfins. They’re tiny and I didn’t know they existed.
    48E168D5-F8D8-40E3-A85F-683BE513D8A0.jpeg
He has troubles in his bot mode. His feet are floppy and his turret keeps its wiggly floppiness.
    2129734E-A1E8-46E9-AAA0-70E86A9D3E89.jpeg
His gun’s peg is loose and it doesn’t stay in. This isn’t a problem with the hand, my brand new Siege Spinister can’t hold it either. The sword has a big stress mark on it, I’m a little worried about it. If worst comes to worst, I actually have another one, but I pray I don’t need to use it.

Should I be worried about paint chipping on his thighs? They look like they’ve started doing it, but I don’t know if that’s from me.

    IMG_20201227_145448.jpg

    IMG_20201227_145559.jpg

But it's impossible. He was... Destroyed years ago.

    IMG_20201227_145659.jpg

The rest of the gang are in pretty bad shape so may replace them with reissues as well other time Slag is the funky G2 colour version as well so dont look quite right together.
