I've had the 10th Anniversary version out of the box for a decade, it's moved house with me 6 times and hasn't flaked.

Good to know. May have to track that version down instead.

Whatever process Hasbro used to apply the chrome didn't adhere well on the original.

Yeah, I fear for my original TM version that's packed away. I'll pull him out one day and he'll be bald.

The Vac-metalized paint on the transmetals is practically destined to flake, it simplt "cakes" the plastic, rather than actually adhering to it. I dunno if the 10th anniversary one suffers from this or not though.

    And I got it.

    20170108_064905[1].jpg
Managed to grab a Bonecrusher at an acceptable price here in Peru aaaaand just as expected is a pretty flawed figure. First of all, the heels are pretty much nonexistant and don't support the huge backpack the stupid gimmick creates (and this is weird since if there's something I can appreciate from the Beast era is that most toys had great heels). Speaking of the stupid gimmick, it brings a lot of problems but I think the worst might be how floppy the head becomes since there's not a proper way to connect it to the rest of the body. Oh, and the lack of head articulation, one can't forget that.

    20170108_065058[1].jpg
And I have the whole Convobat team almost complete here. Overall, Bonecrusher is a decently sized Deluxe with acceptable articulation for its time but severely hampered by the missile gimmick. From all the original BW figures here he's the one that needs an update the most due to its many flaws. An update for K-9 could be nice if they could reduce some of his kibble. On the other hand, I wouldn't want a Cybershark update at all, considering today's limitations I'm pretty sure they would only make a worse figure.

Oh man I remember having Bonecrusher as a kid and hating the toy. He's the reason I stopped collecting beast wars toys. His floppy-headed figure was my second to last transformers figure for years.

He does look cool as hell on the box art though.

The beast panels on his robot legs extend outwards giving him flares! The jive-talkin', missile-launchin' bison!

Yeah, I was fully committed to be all in on MP Beast Wars, but this vague listing is giving me second thoughts. Hopefully it will be revealed soon, it will look awesome, and I can be sorry for ever being a doubter.
