My original copy lost his left leg, just shattered during a transformation.....so packed his corpse away..

Picked up the Year of the Monkey for 15.00 (I think- not sure now ...might have been higher) at Ross a while back...then last year decided to resurrect my original -Frankenstein style  


Edit- Also really hated that the Year of The Monkey did not say “The seeds of the future lie buried in the past”

 

It's odd to me that they made year of the monkey primal and couldn't sell it at $60 and then decided, hey let's do a show accurate repaint and price it higher than most of our masterpiece figures.

 

I want a $15 Monkey Primal  

 

Now that I think about it....it might have been more than 15... I recall Ross marked him down even lower than their initial price....but cannot remember if I picked it up at their reduced price. I remember him being really cheap..and my local Ross having several copies...

Took forever, but sooooo worth it:

The plastic quality is really good and its a straight upscale from the Basic figure (nothing was simplified), my only complaint is some small mold flashes and the lacking paint job (both easily fixable). The transformation is smooth and all ball joints are sturdy. He has really fun beast mode that looks great with his fellow Preds:

Most importantly for me, he scales perfectly with the BW Generations figures:

I'm super happy with this guy!

 

He's a good figure, but fragile. I broke mine twice, and then lost the head

I just rewatched the whole 26 episode run in recent weeks and I couldn't agree more. So dang good.

Tbh I love the entire series just as much as Beast Wars. I really wish more people dug Beast Machines. In my opinion it was truly brilliant and ahead of its time on so many levels.

Really hoping Hasbro shows the series some modern toy love in the years to come. Given the wildly divisive nature surrounding the series though, I'm kinda doubting it.

Totally agree....Would love for them to take a stab at toy updates as well.

 

New toys of the Vechicons would be awesome. While I hated most of the Maximal desings, I actually liked Optimus Primal.

 

New toys of all of them would be good. The only decent ones for "CHUG" scale are Blackarachnia, Nightslash Cheetor, and T30 Tankor.

Definitely the first one. I can imagine Dinobot’s voice in that scene and it cracks me up every time.

The one with Dinobot jumping Chris Pratt from behind is probably my second favorite.

Took a whole extra month, but my replacement KO MP Tigatron finally arrived, and he is dope!!

You're lucky, mine broke at the waist, where the torso rotates, so there was no saving him lol.
