Ok as apparently people don't like my posts, here's a classics Optimus.

    20180916_184445.jpg

I can't do easier from my collection.

Maybe with some luck somebody still has it ?

I think I'm really completely unsync with the fandom.
In which universe it's easier to find 3P than old Unicron Trilogy toys ?

Universe Treadshot is fine. We were just enjoying laughing at it. :lol

You can play Classics Optimus tomorrow, if Treadshot goes the distance. :thumb

I think "old" is the operative word there. Online retailers are far more likely to stock current third-party products than official figures from over a decade ago, and that's where most of us shop.
As a result, it's easier to find 3P than old Unicron Trilogy toys in most of our collections, too.

Na man your posts are fine, I have forgotten how my UT figures were made, not to mention how different they look between Hasbro and Takara.

Personally I have a lot Unicron Trilogy figures, but I have the Hasbro ones not any of the Takara ones. I grew up with the Unicron Trilogy shows and figures, in fact my very first figure was Armada Super mode Optimus. I just haven’t tried to find the others I don’t have, mainly because there is so many figures coming out(3p and mainline). I would like to find all the other figures I wasn’t able to get as a kid and get them but there’s quite a list haha

But am I the only one 'old' in the thread ?

I got all this stuff when they were released, not on tfsource last week.

No, we have plenty of old stuff. You’re good. For me personally you’re digging more into the years I was being picky instead of now how I just get the full line. Also 1 version was enough. I didn’t dip for both Hasbro and Takara.

Only two of my Armada figures have survived the years following, and Unicron is missing almost everything :(

I imagine many others are in the same boat, so maybe that’s why no one has UT figures?

I actually have several figures from the three series of that era. Just I only have one Takara figure from that time. Which I got Super Link Laserwave back in 2012.

During the actual era I didn’t even know of Takara. I only knew the shows were done in Japan and imported over. I thought they just got the figures from Hasbro earlier at the time.

I have several ut figures I just don't have Takara ones. Most people back then didn't know they existed much less the toys for that series had a different color scheme.

Actually, many of us are a lot older than you are.* We were children of the '80s, and had already outgrown Transformers by the time Beast Wars reared its ugly head in the early '90s.
Those of us who grew up with G1 pretty much ignored the franchise until Classics and Masterpiece starting bringing back the original characters, which is why Car Robots/RiD, Beast Wars II/Neo/Beast Machines, and Unicron Trilogy toys are so under-represented in this thread.

*I'm assuming you're in your 30s, and (based solely on what's been posted here), I suspect NemesisGamer and mlgpapalouie are in their late 20s, sunstreaker1980, vvvTheONEvvv and Jetbolt are in their late 30s, simond, tikgnat, archieboy and Maz are in their 40s, and Dah Padre's pushing 50. :p

    40s veryvery soon.
I grew up with G1 too, but it didn't prevent me to enjoy UT, more than 2008-2015 generations.

Ehh not quite. I'm late 30s, and going to uni with internet access and discovering the online TF community in 1998, as well as the re-released TF:TM soundtrack brought me back for the first time. I left it all again around 2003 and then and a mixture of G1 reissues, rare vintage finds and Binaltech over a short period of time brought me back full tilt in 2004.

I actually wrote about some of this recently:
