My favorite types of supah cleah pics (so I can contribute to this discussion):

The ones with the backgrounds of colored fabric and medium light. GogDog provides the best example. Process also does it, but with more, uh, processing. It's like infinite white, but more pleasing to my eye. It feels less like a toy and more like a presentation piece.

One day I'll come to your house and steal all your Botshots and Kreons. So jealous. I wonder if we'll even get those minifigs here.

Also, anyway you could do a quick write up on photoshop with screenshots if you have time? Or maybe recommend some places to read up on it.
my camera says it's canon powershot SX150 IS. My last one was the same brand and doing a great job until I dropped it on the beach and sand grains got inside it (the downfall of shoving a camera in the pocket.)
I don't use photoshop. for a simple edit like I mentioned I use a very old software called ACDSee, I've been using the same version for like 5 years

*PICTURES*
Thanks!

And yea, for 3$ I wasn't really expecting much, but I was totally wrong and can't believe how many parts these guys come with.

Also on a photography related note, what's the best way to shoot on a black background without getting graininess in the toy you're shooting?

Collection Count: Does Deathwing Prime count?
Manual exposure settings?
Custom white balance?
Exposure compensation?

Obviously, I need to buy a real camera.
Preferably, one with onscreen displays in English.

I'm a big fan of these as well, I think I like them more than pure white honestly. I do white backgrounds sometimes because it was my goal way back when and I finally managed to pull it off. I've worked with gray/black back drops (construction paper and craft foam) but can't get it looking how I'd like. I always get some glare from the curve.

I want to order up some of that vinyl Process uses when I get some spare cash and give that a whirl.

Now that it's cooling off I can get into taking more pics. I always slow down in the summer because I use 4x 150W lights and they get really damn hot.
