For the prime cheats it's usually because of size. The leader molds don't usually have this problem so it's really just a transformation cheat for the voyagers. I don't like it but I understand.

In the case of Bay-bee the CGI should never had even reached a point where the license plate becomes his crotch.

I never have liked parts to look like parts are supposed to be there when they really aren't. I don't fan rage about it, but it does bug me to no end. If a part can not go there, it needs to be left out. Instead of character designs shoe-horned to fit, I much prefer parts to just end up where they end up. Things like movieBee's license plate folded in half on his stomach is a good example. Either actually make the plate fold up, or leave it off (for both the movie on-screen design and the toys). Details like that are dumb anyways.

Even with toys like G1 Powermaster Prime, I always disliked how the "chest" was faux windows, when the actual windows are on his back. But PRIME HAS TO HAVE CHEST WINDOWS! This was taken to the extreme with movie toys.

    Argh.

Would be nice, but that's not going to happen. The design team for the movies was pretty up-front about how they paid zero attention to how the characters might transform. The chose a vehicle and they designed a cool looking (in their opinion) robot mode, and completely left Hasbro/Takara holding the bag on how to find a way to make one look like it turned into the other.

Dumb stuff like that just needs to be left out altogether. It's just bad design and bad forethought.

I don't mind it too much with the movie bots. For the shows though, they really need to go back to designing the toys before the show.
