YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO CREATE THIS THREAD. I'VE BEEN RESIZING THESE PICTURES FOR SEVEN MONTHS (MAYBE MORE) AND DURING THAT TIME THE MEGATRON HAS BEEN SMASHED BY A CERTAIN YOUNGER SIBLING OF MINE.

After a few... experiments, many months ago, I discovered a gun mode for WFC Megs, for a more G1 feel.

Sorry for blurriness; I forget which camera this is.

1) Start with him in robot mode with the hands folded in.

2) Fold the head and chestplate down.




3) Raise the right arm vertically. This arm must have the gun on it.




4) Rotate the arm at the elbow counterclockwise until pressed up against the front of the torso and head.




5) Go to the back and fold the panel down.




6) Fold up the right leg to the back like you would in transformation.


7) Shift the left shoulder up against the torso, also like in transformation and move the forearm up.




8) Rotate the left foot at the knee counterclockwise at 90 degrees.




9) Move the leg up to the side at a 90 degree angle, or to wherever you can hold him like a gun.




10) Rotate the forearm down in front of the leg to make the trigger,



And behold! The MegaGun of Cybertr-WHOOPS!

Very, very awesome! I just tried this out on my 'Rage over Cybertron' Megatron, and he looks pretty damn sweet.

A little mod I would suggest is to flip the shoulder-clip assembly parallel to the cannon, filling out the gun shape a little more.

Wow, those WFC Decepticons are two for two as far as decent fan modes go. That "boom box" mode for Soundwave that was done a while back is pretty cool too. I'll be trying this out on my own Megs shortly...

Stickying threads means locking it in place so it doesn't get bumped down into oblivion by new threads.

 

Ive been trying to find his 'hidden' gun mode for months. This is way better than anything I've come up with.

 

Right up there with the soundwave boombox maltransformation. A+ for creativity and innovation
