Speaking of the human in MP10 Spike style, originally I was excited to know Raul will be joining the MP10,MP22 human toy cast but only to be disappointed by his soldier base style. Raul outfit reminds me of the 80s so I was looking forward to this figure. It ashamed he doesn't fit with the MP10,22 articulated human style...so he'll be in the storage bin. I'm also hoping Raul army base style is a one shot deal.

Pairing human/bot if they ever get released/wishlist, I'm thinking...
Springer = His Only Human self w/ UM outfit.
Arcee = Her Only Human self, or maybe a reissue MP22 Daniel, or Carly
Ironhide = Chip Chase (he should've included w/ Prowl) or Sparkplug
Ratchet = Sparkplug
Megatron V2 = Mr Burger or Dr.Arkeville
Powergllide = Astoria, the girl who love Powerglide
Seaspray = Alana
That it's for now....there are lots more human....

 

I'd say Carly would be the perfect companion for ironhide. Chip could be included with hound.

 

I think now that the only reason we got articulated human figures with MP-10/22 is that so they can sit in the cab. I think Takara is pretty much taking a complete shortcut with the humans. Looking at MP-24's Brainmaster's paint apps, Takara can definitely at least put eyes on those figures but they choose not to.

 

What are the latest rumors? Is it still Iron Hide and Ratchet?

I'd love to see it, but until they make MP Hot Rod, and probably at least one other movie/season three car, I'd say it's a long shot.

Yes, this is exactly what I'm talking about.

I don't even care about articulation, to be quite honest. I'd take PVC figures, as long as the sculpts were detailed enough to at LEAST look like the cartoon, and were more or less in scale.

Let's face it - those TF: Prime PVC figures of the human characters were better than anything Takara made for the Masterpiece line. Except for Daniel, I guess, but that's mainly because he's a Transformer himself (and his headsculpt still sucks).

 

Glad I don't give two shits about the human figures...although since Tracks comes with Rico Suave, I wonder if Road Rage will come with Ice Ice Baby?

they could soooo do a MP windcharger with their abilities now a days! still holding on to MP windcharger for possible TT treatment.

 

I can see how chip would probably interact better with Ironhide if the back of the van could hold him and the wheelchair. In my mind, Ironhide and Carly had more of a bond when she (inadvertently) caused him to quit the Autobots in one episode, only to return at the end. We might not get any other human cast out of the MP line. Who knows? I think they're pretty neat little add-ons if that's all they wanna include. Some characters don't really have much else in the way of memorable extras. Trailbreaker or Gears for instance. If a third party did a set of humans I'd probably pick that up if they looked good.

 

I imagine we'll probably never know Skyfire's popularity amongst Japanese collectors since it'll be kinda hard to come up with data regarding a character who's technically never had a toy. I guess I don't have much reason to assume he's mega popular anywhere since technically he was only ever represented in G1 toon fiction and was referred to as Jetfire everywhere else, including the G1 comic where he still had Skyfire's art model but not the name.

I just feel like it would be cool to see him done for completeness' sake, and I think he's got a better chance than a lot of other 'toon-only' characters like Devcon or Alpha Trion just because he...technically had a toy (albeit one I am nearly positive did not come out in Japan, at least not as part of G1). Alright, that's enough outta me for Skyfire.  

As far as humans go, you know what would crack me up? If some of the S1/S2 Decepticons started coming with generic troop builder 'yellow hardhat' nobodies that always seemed to work at the dams and oil rigs throughout Oregon in G1. Imagine the display potential making them pose with a bunch of Energon cubes...

 

Remember that single prototype pic of Ironhide that surfaced a few months ago? Some oldheads on the boards insist that it's a 3rd party's work, but I'm still skeptical. It's a van mode and a side profile headshot. It looks flawless, and I think some people are covering a leak.

I'm guessing we're going to see another Destron. Which one? I'm not sure. It could be that around December/January we get another larger figure, since that seems to be the trend the last couple of years.

 

110% not official man although if TT's is close to that I'll not be complaining at all.

 

If I remember correctly the detail on the van mode wasn't up to the same standard of what we've had for the other "real cars".

 

This is a third party design. We'll be seeing it again as it was previously cancelled.

 

I wonder if Jazz now gets bumped up the schedule by TT. Win/win for us all.
