Suzuki LJ80V as Brawn. I think it looks perfect. Why go generic when they don't have to?

Fine by me, especially if TT thinks it makes him more marketable and increases his chances of become a reality.

Agree, but I also go the other way...why license it only for the sake of licensing it? If it makes it more desirable to those that might not buy it otherwise, so be it...but I'd rather it not have a name and look right than have a name and be forced away from how it 'should' look.

I'm one of the depraved few who does not have an MP Seeker. I really, really want an MP Thundercracker, MP Starscream and MP Skywarp (yes, I know we have the recent release, but the money I could have spent on him went to Star Saber, Exhaust and the May re-release of MP10).

Top of my MP list, though, is still Jazz with Ratchet a close second.

Hasbro is releasing the MP-11 Starscream, they can't do too much to it I think to change the deco and he'll hopefully be half the price. No release date set, but I'm assuming sometime this year.

Maybe his symbols will be the wrong way like the other two's... Maybe they'll up their 'no rhyme or reason' & 'dumb-ass deco' game to another level and do it both ways, one wing opposite the other!

I'm pretty adamant about keeping to TT MP. Though, if Screamer is more affordable and they keep him looking relatively the same as TT, I may consider it.

"Realistic but generic" is really how I want all the Minibots to be handled other than Windcharger and Bumblebee. The rest of them are kinda non-descript enough to squeak by without needing a license (Gears in particular, who is also kinda high on my wish list) but I feel like it would be weird if Windcharger WASN'T licensed. I think it would be much easier for the Minicars to squeak by as being generic cars than it would for any of the Deluxe Cars pre-movie.

That's not true at all. Bumblebee is CLEARLY a beetle, there's no doubt about it. Windcharger on the other hand has almost no resemblance to an actual trans am. Bumblebees, front is very early meant to be a beetle.

If you show screen shots of both alt modes to 10 random people, I guarantee you all of them will be able to tell you what bumblebee is and 9 out of 10 won't know what windcharger is, and the 10the person will be guessing.

Like I said, I'm sure if we do get one, it'll be licensed. The problem is, he won't resemble his appearance in the show at all.

Since MP Star Saber has sold extremely successfully, when should we expect Victory Leo, Deathsaurus, or any other Transformers Victory character?

Ditto. Making them into "real" cars is a bit too retconnish for my tastes. Save that kind of stuff for Generations and third parties.

Has anyone ever commented on how much Windcharger's and Tailgate's G1 toys resemble the Rally Fighters (i.e. "scary cars") from AOE? It's just a coincidence, of course, but they do a decent job of replicating the "sports car with 4x4 wheels" that WC/TG's minibot toys have. :p

Not really pertinent to MP speculation, the posts above just made me think of it. Though I would like a potential MP WC/TG to have a stylized alt mode evoking the G1 toy/cartoon. Not chibi, but not a realistic Firebird either.

Just my personal opinion, obviously, but I think the Suzuki IS how Brawn 'should' look. I don't know what could be done to it to make it look more Brawn-like.

It wouldn't have to be based on the particular Trans Am model in Flash's sig. That's just the one that most closely resembles the front end of the toy. Let's say you're right and they do license a Trans Am for Windcharger. In your own personal preference, would you rather they used the one in Flash's sig or this model:

Victory Leo could make it out in 2016, but 2017 is probably more realistic. Any other Victory character will be later than that.

Lest we forget, the original Microchange toy was called "Trans Am," so Windcharger IS a real car. And as far as I know, the Trans Am was sold in Japan, so "Trans Am" isn't just Japanese shorthand for "American muscle car." Takara intended the toy to represent a Trans Am. What happened to the animation model, I can't say.

Exactly - this is my only problem with XTB Krank. If TT ever does a real MP Huffer, I'd like it to look more like Huff where it's just "orange truck" as opposed to an old school Mitsubishi Fuso or whatever Krank turns into.

You know what, I did, and now I'm kinda sad there will never be a Windcharger repaint of it. :p

I guess I wouldn't, like, throw myself off a bridge if Windcharger wasn't a licensed MP, but I just feel like he's really the only other Minibot that could conceivably get a license. I'd much rather he was a Pontiac than Cliffjumper was a Porsche, at least.

So, Victory Leo is pretty much an inevitability now, right?

Yeah, likewise, I'd be totally fine with him being a licensed Pontiac. Even if I have a few preferences here and there in terms of MP, my main desire is just that they get done at all. Whatever it takes to get tha done, I'm all for!

Yeah, Ikstakk's Trans Am photo is exactly what Windcharger is. Not the one in the sigs. Like I said, since I was 5 it was as clear to me that's what Windcharger is as it is that Bumblebee is a Beetle, especially since I loved that Firebird/Camaro body style as a kid.

Wasn't I agreeing that he and Bumblebee were the exceptions? I forget... But yeah, that's fine. That works. Others, not so much, I think. :)

I gotta say, all the chatter over Licensed Vehicle modes is kinda lame, I mean this is Masterpiece not Binaltech, as long as it looks as close to the animation model as possible, it's all good, licensed or unlicensed.

Like it or not, TT definitely sees the "Real Car Series" as a kind of MP sub-line and part of what makes the carbots marketable.
