Thanks. I actually meant are there other MP KOs like this and, if so, are there telltale signs like those you mentioned on other MP KOs.

Seriously, barring an announcement at SDCC, I'd pull the trigger at $100 shipped.

Even if American ones do come out later, that price won't come down on the aftermarket, and you can sell it later if you like.

Any chance we'll hear MP news at Comic-Con? Or nah?

If you read that whole thread, people are thinking its not a KO but factory "defects" going out the back door. They're either sloppily assembled or have minor faults. There's one seller on eBay (lenatoys1234 or something) that had a ton of MP12T & a few sideswipes, half the sideswipes had red heads. She also has a TON of the Takara generations starscream, and some of those say in the auction that the gun has no paint on it, which also seems like a factory error.

With no noticable mold differences on the "KOs" it has to be someone sneaking them out the back door of the factory.

Gosh I hope so, I'd love to pick it up in-person and be done with it.

IF they're doing that, I hope they're available on Preview Night. If I can't get into the Hasbro booth I can swing over and snag Acid Storm instead like I did Rodimus a couple years ago.

MOST MPs receive a second run, yes, but as pointed out earlier, not all. I'm still waiting on Starscream, but the longer this goes, the more I'll be tempted to just deal with it and jump on one on eBay or Junkion if I can find one for a semi-decent price rather than wait for something that may not happen after all.

Possible. As long as there's time for a decent Q&A afterwards, it wouldn't surprise me to see someone ask about MPs if Hasbro doesn't cover it themselves.

They said at BotCon to wait for more MP news at SDCC. But that could mean anything. It could be something as lame as Soundwave being available that day (7/18,) which is news we basically already have now thanks to the TRU pre-order page, but didn't at the time of the panel...or it could be the MP cars are coming, or US Starscream, or a TRU Skywarp, or etc, etc, etc...

They released a SDCC letter saying that both Soundwave & Acidstorm will be available for purchase at SDCC. Maybe that is what they were alluding to?

    That would be awesome.

I'm assuming it wouldn't come with the cape and crown? I don't mind if it didn't (I already have a set from Sunstorm anyways) but I wouldn't expect it to, unless they go all-out like they did with Optimus and now Soundwave.

At this point I don't think it'll happen. I feel that Hasbro are pretty content with having put out a Masterpiece Starscream already. Same goes for Skywarp.

If they were gong to do it surely they would have by now. No way they're gonna convince TRU to carry another redeco of that mold for at least another year, and by that point they may struggle to get them to put a third redeco on the shelves.

Shame as MP-11 Starscream is the superior version of the seeker mold in every iteration. Lots of people have missed out.

There is the 30th anniversary next year. I know they'll technically have options with the cars and potentially other molds we're not aware of yet that are in the works perhaps, but if they can't/don't want to do the cars, Starscream looms rather large as an option, and he's a "name" character they could release during the 30th anniversary next year. Of the "Big 4" plus Bumblebee, Optimus is done, Megs can't be released regardless of which version they try to release, Soundwave's forthcoming and Bumblebee is TBD (even if they want to, there's no indication VW will be as willing to work with them as they apparently are Takara). That leaves Starscream, with or without the cars.

At this point I'm wondering if Takara will release a 2nd waive of MP11 Starscream. That was what, early 2012 when it came out? getting on the 1 1/2 to 2 year mark...I may just jump the gun and hit some ebay mp11....but there is always that chance, so Im hesitant at this point.

With the new packaging, especially the numbering, I would not be surprised in the least if Hasbro were to announce a US release for the cars.

I bet next year they do Starscream, Prime without trailer (perhaps with "battle damage" paint?) and start an assortment of the Autobot Cars (2 each of 2 cars per case, 4 waves of 8 cars total).

'Oh maybe they'll announce Masterpiece cars at SDCC.'
'Oh maybe they'll announce Masterpiece cars at NYCC.'
'Oh maybe they'll announce Masterpiece cars at ToyFair.'
'Oh maybe they'll announce Masterpiece cars at the NEXT SDCC.'

Keep at it folks. If you stay Hasbro only, you're always going to have gaping holes in your Masterpiece collection.

Just buy Takara. If you can get Hasbro at a lower price later on, you can sell it and make money, for f's sake. :)

    ^Pretty much what he said.

Just get the TakaraTomy version. You are doing your collection great justice.

BTW, "HE TELL ME" caveat - MP BB is slightly taller than a regular sized revoltech Danboard (not the mini danboard versions).

EDIT: Just passing the info around as I get it. Whether to believe is up to you. This is just in case anyone starts to get all hissy fit and go all out in a crusade again.

I have my Danboard at home. I will snap pics with Lambor and Prime when I get home this evening. Or anyone else who has a Danboard can help?
