It would be good value....assuming of course that the MP10's that are apparently shelfwarming in TRU's across the UK don't cause Hasbro UK to decide against bringing Soundwave over.

I'm more concerned with it taking another year to actually get Soundwave on shelves to be honest :p  They overbought MP10s for the UK so there is some stock shelfwarming (not everywhere; my two local TRUs are all out) but it's not too bad considering the guy's price, and I'm sure the initial rush of sales they got must make it worth buying them.

No doubt they'll just put out less of Soundwave this time, if they've any brain at all.
We know he's coming at least. TRU and Hasbro UK both confirmed it on their Facebook pages a little while back.

I'm just wondering how much this is going to be like Optimus was. I remember at SDCC it said July 12 as the release date. Then it was I think at least a month after that before it showed up in stores. We all know the story on how the preorders for him were. Which I was fine with waiting as long as I got one.

I hope I am wrong, but I see Acid Storm being available first in July. Then maybe a month later Soundwave pops up. I'd much rather they just both go up at the same time. We shall see I guess.

Hasbro UK will probably overbuy Acid Storm and bring in 1 pallet of Soundwave for the entire country :lol

From a value standpoint I might agree with you, but I can't imagine Hasbro or TRU feeling that's an acceptable price point. If they thought Soundwave would retail for so much they would have cut costs by not including all the cassettes. I can't think of many figures that sell for so much that are sold through general retail.

If that's the case I will gladly pass. I'll go as high as $120.

There's a part of me that wants it as cheap as possible, and another part that secretly hopes its expensive enough that the casual "Well, I already have the Takara version but I'll pick up another just for the heck of it" sentiment is kept to a minimum. Its not that I begrudge people double dipping, and people should buy what they want, but I also worry that these will be difficult to find. The less competition the better.

I'm here...mainly to keep myself from buying another set. On one hand I'd like to grab one just because, but I already have all the TT versions so I don't know why I should bother. But I kinda regret not picking up Hasbro MP-10 now. Maybe SDCC will drive my decision. If the big news is that they're releasing all the MP cars, maybe I'll look to double dip on these and display them in both modes. Which means I'd probably have to hunt down a damn 'Bro MP-10...

I wonder if Ultra Magnus being inducted into the Hall Of Fame will speed up his eventual MP release....I sure hope so.

Actually, MP 10 didn't hit US stores until around the middle or end of October. But yeah, with that said, I'm worried that Soundwave wont be released in July like the card stated.

Thats crazy talk man,MP10 was 250 bucks and when hasbro released him he was 100. MP soundwave is going for what? 160 bucks now via preorder? Yeah I understand he comes with extra cassettes, but I'm guessing he'll be around 100.

Those extra cassettes were $60 per 2-pack...160+60+60=280. Regardless, I would suspect TRU will pull their usual shit and raise the price as time goes on so only a lucky few will get whatever preorders open at.

The prices of Hasbro MP Soundwave will not be any different with the MP13 here in my part of the world. I'll stick to my MP13 at the moment and will try to pick up Hasbro MP Soundwave when it is being discounted.

Wut.... Why have they got the back wings on upside down on that pic? I don't know if its because its not a show character or because it looks weird, but I don't feel anything for this guy.
