Prime is supposed to be bigger than the seekers in bot mode. Faith Leader is the same size as the MP seekers.

 

.....yeah, Faith Leader totally doesn't scale to the seekers. In case you don't remember the cartoon, Prime and Megatron are a fair bit taller than Screamer and co, with Soundwave in between.



Kinda like MP11, MP10 and MP13 funnily enough! *swish*




I really really love MP10 all round, but one of the biggest things in its favour for me is the head. I love that head so damn much. MP01's head just looks so....toy-like I guess? MP10's noggin is a thing of beauty.

 

Except the thighs.

Just saying.

 

I'm there too. It's the chest/cab windows that really annoy me, they just look too enlonganted on 10. BUT... as a posable figure and Transformer toy, 10 blows 01 away. So I'm willing to live with the things I don't like so I can enjoy the rest of the awesomeness. Besides, I still have my Hasbro MP-01 in all of its brick-like glory. Best of both worlds!  

 

Only thing I need for MP10 to be perfectly happy is some nice super-poseable mitts- like the 1/100 hobby base rounded hands. They look spectacular and I plan on getting them for my carbots...but I haven't seen anything that'd fit MP10. Plus, getting them the right colour wouldn't be real easy, and I hate paint rub.


Why has no third party filled this void! What high-end MP collector wouldn't like to improve their figures however they can! A scaled MP01 rifle too would be nice- about the same size as the one (TFC?) Tigerblade uses with his MP10 (looks great).

 

lambo is in the new movie? does that give hope for sideswipe coming stateside?

 

Both those suggestions would be great.
MP-10's gun is too small and on mine his index finger keeps popping off when I try to make him grip it.

New hands and gun for sure.

 

Don't get me wrong I love the transforming gun that MP10 has, but he could do with something with just a teensy bit more girth.


I had the index finger pop off once on the day I got him, as I was posing it whilst holding the tip. After that I posed it via the knuckle and I've had no problems since.

 

Faith Leader being slightly out of scale with the Seekers (in bot mode at least... the idea that a cab truck is bigger than a fighter jet isn't realistic... but then again, TFers) isn't such a big deal if you display your Bots and Cons on separate shelves (as I do). I rather like Faith Leader too, and he leads my Classics Bots (along with MP-08 Grimlock, natch). Owning two MP-10 Optimus Primes (Hasbro and Takara versions) does in no way diminish my appreciation for PP01 FL.

Given the lack of Voyager Seekers (hopefully TFC rectifies this), MPs are my go-to for the characters. Hegemon (Voyager sized and thus smaller than the MP Seekers) currently leads my Cons display but he's just a placeholder until such a time an MP Megs v2 is announced.

I'm hoping the Galvatron rumors are just smoke and mirrors for a revamped Megs v2.

 

I don't see how one relates to the other. There's no guarantee that Hasbro/Takara will be able to release licensed toys of that Lamborghini that's been spotted, let alone that somehow that'll open up a licensing deal for MP-12 at the same time.

Remember, there was a Ferrari in DotM and Audi in RotF and neither received licensed toys in either movie line (with nothing period for Mirage in DotM). It's possible, at this point, the Lambo may not get a toy if a license can't get worked out.

Yeah but like Timesynch says, if you display Bots and Cons separately it isn't a problem. I still think MP-12 was too small for MP-10 (scale chart be damned, there's no way Sideswipe is gonna help Prime on with a jetpack when he's only half as tall!) so with Faith Leader he and Grimlock look virtually perfect.

Hmm? I think MP-01's thighs are straighter and blockier than MP-10's.

Would love to see those hands more widely available and in different colours.   Having a heck of a time finding some for the Brawn project! MP-01's rifle actually looks pretty good with MP-10. I have to say though, the gun folding away and storing in his back is one of the few things I actually prefer on MP-10...

A new MP Megs is where I would probably have to surrender Faith Leader in favour of MP-10, since I prefer my Prime and Megs to be equal sizes (even though I've heard some say they like Megs to be bigger).

 

*shrugs* Him being taller than the seekers always looked wrong to me.
Allow me to rephrase. To me, Faith Leader is the right size as compared to the Seekers... even though this means it is not accurate to the official Scale Chart. As I've a mixed collection, rather than a MP based collection, I also lean towards Faith Leader so my deluxe/voyager/ultra/scouts/etc 'scale' (and I use the term scale loosely ) with him.

I also like Optimus being a bit shorter than Megatron - again, that is simply my preferance.

...I must admit that I far prefer MP01's head sculpt to MP10s... granted my Faith Leader has the 'anime' antenna on the 'american' head and I love the look^^

 

I hate Megs being bigger, the idea just sounds dumb. How would they be equal opposites if one's bigger than the other?


I hope those hobby base hands start showing up again soon, I can't fathom why the well has dried up on them.

 

I'm with you more or less, except I wouldn't be TOO angry to see another Skywarp.  

As for MP-10, you can get some great poses out of him to lessen the "monkey arm" look. I've come to prefer him now... In fact I might end up selling my Faith Leader... He's better with MP Grimlock but I just don't need a whole bunch of Primes...

I do not feel that it 'just sounds dumb', as the idea of Optimus facing, and defeating, a 'larger' and 'more powerful', or at least more warlike, foe is one I prefer, although I can see your view. Allow me mine?^^
