Oh, I have no doubt that it'll be awesome. I just think that Megatron should come first, then maybe a reformatting version, and thheeeeeennnn Galvatron. But I have no doubt the engineering for Galvatron will be just as epic as the rest.

 

Guilty as charged. Mp Sideswipe convinced me to start buying every MP release, no matter what character it is. Er, at least when it comes to normal releases. I'm still not into store exclusives like Tigertracks.

Oh how I've been wishing for an MP Galvatron, ever since the awesomeness of the MP09 sculpt, there has been a need for his nemesis in the same form.

 

Not that patterns mean much in this case, but to your three Autobots in a row, I might add that by the time of MP-19 Smokescreen, there'll be five smaller MP releases in a row. If saying that it was now time for a larger Masterpiece complimented your reasoning, then those ideas combined point to any of the larger MP Decepticons you mentioned - for those who like the theories, of course.

Some will or maybe have ran with the idea that it's time for a larger MP, and that with enough Masterpiece cars to fill a car carrier, Ultra Magnus could be an upcoming release.

You've touched on something that's died down a bit on the Masterpiece thread and the boards in general perhaps lately. At least since the announcement of Deluxe Wreck - Gar, which pointedly pre-empted FansProject's interpretation of the character getting released, fans have anticipated HasTak products that actively compete with 3rd party projects.

Let's remember that MP-13 himself has seen off a third party competing product and HasTak collectively know that this mold is a gold mine for cross selling. While character/repaint popularity has been mentioned a lot regarding if fans will buy MP Soundblaster, Takara would likely realize that any remaining cassettes become conspicuous by their absence. To use your example, while fans may wait for a 3rd party MP quality Ratbat, Takara may not.

 

So who is 19 then? Is Smoke getting pushed into the 2014 lineup? He got pushed out of 18, so depending on how accurate Takara is making him could licensing push him further down the line.

So it's looking more and more like Galvatron is going to be MP-20.

That would be awesome as that character would look fantastic in the new MP scale with modern engineering.

 

MP Galvatron would be cool. I'd skip the Takara and PRAY for a Hasbro release...

That way I wouldn't get him for another year and he'd be appropriate to lead my MMC Hex and Rex!

As for UM or Galv assessories: A QUIINTESON! I don't know if we'd get one or not, and it wouldn't likely be articulated (which kind of throws off the whole MP thing), but THAT would be awesome. Each major S3 release could come with a different Quint trooper! The cost might not be THAT much more than roller -Paint costs money tho.

Smokescreen is still listed as MP-19 for Fourth Quarter by BBTS, late September/early October for TFSource and September for Robot Kingdom so I don't think anything's changed as far as we know.

 

I could get on board for an MP Galvatron. In my opinion, he never really got a good toy representation.

 

Where did the Galvatron rumor come from? I seemed to have missed it.

In any event, Galvatron would be a WELCOME and AWESOME addition to the line-up. And, if true, so much for the "season-1 first, then season-2, etc." line-up theories.

Where Galvatron is, could Cyclonus be far behind?

Would Ratbat be a good addition to Galvatron? (Did he ever pose w/ him like Laserbeak often did w/ Megatron?)

What would an MP "Sweep" look like?

Ehh... I don't think it's looking more and more like anything, let alone Galvatron. This is the main thread I read on a near hourly basis here, and I don't see anything quasi 'confirming' Galvatron as MP-20. Hell, just a few pages back, someone mentioned that "everything is adding up" for MP-20 to be Ultra Magnus... despite nothing, in fact, adding up in any manner whatsoever other than we'll soon have 4-5 Autobot cars. But it's all just speculation, so I guess fair's fair.

I don't see how MP-20 can be anything other than a large Decepticon given how many Autobots we just got and are about to get, and also given how MP-15 & MP-16 are just little two pack add-ons to MP-13 as opposed to proper stand alone characters. So where Takara is concerned (read: not factoring in Hasbro's Thundercracker), we've only gotten two proper sized Cons since MP-08. Seeing as how those Cons have been Starscream & Soundwave, and factoring in Prime V2, the only logical sense (in my personal opinion) is that Megatron V2 will still be next.

* Though I wouldn't be surprised if/when a Galvatron happens, it'll be close to Ultra Magnus happening... or vice versa.

 

MP-10 needs his worse than MP-09 does, though. While I am a fan of MP-05, he flat out sucks with the new MP cast. Like I said a page back, my MP display is a total mess while waiting for a Megatron to set it up with. I don't even bother trying to do something cool with it because it'll just look wrong. I guess Galvatron could be a stand-in, but that would be lame.

Not sure if TCracker's jumbled word mess was a clue toward Galvatron or not, but that's what I thought of and it prompted me to post my disinterest in the revisited idea...which in the not too distant past was said to be the next 'large' MP release by various insiders. I've been hoping TT would do one of their notorious MP detours, though, with the direction the line has gone over the last year or so.

 

I think MP-20 is going to be one of the following: Skywarp, Galvatron, or Megatron.

 

Totally. I just figure since they put up the preorders for Prowl and Silverstreak before we got official confirmation on those two, it's safe to assume Smokescreen is MP-19 for now.
