Can’t wait for new reveals!!!!

 

Yay, Hoist has arrived.  
Now bring on some new G1 MP announcements, like Jazz, CJ and Mirage.

 

Is this a reliable source, or just a guy speculating? My phone refuses to translate any of it.

 

Im pretty sure the guy who started this was the one who leaked Hoist. @oku might know for sure. Somebody later on in the thread asked about the Haslab so Im guessing that wasn't what he meant. He's pretty cryptic but mentioned kids growing up in the 90's would like it so it probably rules out the scramble city combiners.

God Ginrai and Omega Prime in the same time frame is crazy. I wonder if that would push Galvatron back again. I would at least hope to get 2 MPs not named Soundwave to cross off my collages. ( Hmm looks like I"m rooting hard for Jazz,CJ, and Blaster )

 

Kids born in the 90 are full Beast Wars, but maybe he was talking about the Haslab Project with that response

 

He had to have been talking about the Haslab. Well, if he knew what it was before they revealed it, he must have something going for him. Maybe we won't have to sit through five more Trainbot repaints before we get the next MPG!

 

They've been pushing God Ginrai for the longest, I could see the stars aligning and Ono revisting him for the 40th anniversary. MPG-07 didn't even get a promotional video, I don't think we'll about to run straight through 5 more trains again.

I"m going to be a tad irritated if its supposed to be the HasLab.  Still God Ginrai is the kind of YES!! announcement they need for the anniversary besides a Jazz or Galvatron

 

I really hope it's God Ginrai next. I've been waiting for a quality God Ginrai for so long...

The 90's Mention and the divine word make be fear that he was just talking about the HasLab though. God Magnus/God Fire Convoy rather than God Ginrai. And a Fire Truck is kinda not a military or civilian vehicle. Though I guess God Bomber isn't military or civilian either...

Fans born in the 90s were kids in the early 2000s when Car Robots was on the air...

Maybe a reference to God Ginrai... maybe not...

I couldn't imagine what this place would be like if they announced some more trains not named Astrotrain.       

 

I'd be on it (loves me some Masterforce), but what a random choice to follow Raiden.

I was kidding, mostly, I'm pretty sure they're talking about the Omega Prime. But if they love trains over there that much... there's been demand for a new Rail Racer for a while now...

 

TBH I’d definitely be interested in a new railracer… just not an mp one.

 

Kind of off topic here, but I feel like Hasbro and Takara don’t see the 40th anniversary the same as us hardcore G1 fans. To me the 40th anniversary is all about the original show that started it all. To them it’s an anniversary for the entire brand so any character from any show is fair game. Hence us getting Raiden completed, MP Rhinox and HasLab Omega Prime or whatever his name is being done this year.

To me the only thing truly celebrating the 40th so far are the Missing Link releases. And possibly the retro repaints of the G1 toys as well. Maybe MP-44S as well. Haha

 

Careful where you express that opinion, you will get spanked in some corners of this site for saying that...  

 

I feel the exact same way.
Anyone would feel the same about the iteration of Transformers they prefer or grew up with.
If this was BW anniversay and HasTak was pushing G1, Cyberverse, Armada, etc, instead of BW, my opinion would be the same. Celebrate that iteration's anniversary with releases for that iteration.  

 

That would be the logical thinking.
40th anniversary would be celebrating what came out 40 years ago.
40 Years of Transformers would be celebrating whatever the hell they want within those 40 years.

 

They can spank me if they want to! I may even enjoy it!

I don’t really care that much how people want to interpret the anniversary. I just wish there was a bigger celebration of the G1 toon. MP Hoist is amazing but it was also the 20th anniversary of the MP line recently so it would be nice to get a really big G1 MP release this year. Hopefully that will still happen later this year.

The HasLab for sure should have been G1 toon related this year. I think Hasbro is afraid to do a HasLab for a larger amount of money so Cybertron/Primus is probably off the table. I realize a transforming Cybertron is not really G1 but the planet mode is and I would count that as G1. On the other hand I’m financially strained for collecting this quarter anyway so I’m glad the HasLab is something I don’t care two shits about.
