I would have never thought Jazz and Cliffjumper could be in the table but after Porsche decided to lend the license out for the movie, I’m coming around on the likelihood of them showing up in MP. That CJ prototype is kind of a big deal too. We at least know he was being considered for the line and made it as far as a hard copy figure. Bazooka accessory as well. I think both are coming next year for sure. That recent interview was a wink toward a couple of different things, like Porsche and minibots. If I had to bet on something being high on the list, it would be these two.

As far as others? Hard to guess, but minibots being mentioned would steer me toward Brawn or Huffer. It would be wild if we saw two minibots in one year. Blitzwing also seems like a good possibility as something we haven’t seen yet in the line. I think the 40th is gonna have some surprises. Can’t wait.

Wander about the appareance of MPG Devastator, will be based on...?

I would say, just because of proportions and impossible mass shifting, on the Devastation model, with arm cons bigger than the settai, and vehicle details visibles.
The first one will be the Missing Link Devastator, at this point.

The cartoon model, some Devastation cues would be cool.

If they license the vehicle modes, as was once rumored, they won't be able to do a full Sunbow look, there'll just be too much realism in there to hide away. I'm expecting something very Raiden-esque, aesthetic-wise, for MPG Devastator.

    But bigger.

A missing link Devs would be awesome, but I’d bet they’ll do one or the other. At this point, I’d rather see an MP Devs than anything else. 19-20” tall please.

While I would prefer the animation model, I'm expecting the toy model. I have to admit though that the Devastation one looks like a really good version as well. Also really hoping that they up the size on Devastator.

Is it just me or have the MP reissues dropped off? There used to be reissues built into the annual release schedule for a while

True. Actually takara's reissue are near to zero. Once the stock is gone, is gone.

I'm sure some reissues will pop up eventually. Ono has constantly stressed bringing in "new people". I think we'll get some runs of new figures and repaints and if the demand is there, they'll backtrack with some reissues. Last anniversary they averaged an MP release a month, I think with 3 reissues and the rest repaints and new molds. We're 4 for 3 now,and with the missing links release I have no idea how they would keep that pace up but Im more than open to them trying:)

A reissue of Hound with all of the issues fixed would be great. I still have the KO in my saved searches as a maybe, but I don’t like buying KO figures unless it’s a random color variant or something different. I would buy a fixed TT version if it was assured that it wasn’t going to break again. A real bummer because that’s a great looking figure.

Optimus Prime in his original MP-44 colors should be reissued too. Maybe Megatron as well for the 40th. Just do a bare bones release without the trailer and stock/silencer attachments for people that might want to jump on board, or maybe just want the two leaders.

So Porshe approached them about being in the movie.

Hopefully someone post this FK, the likely interview should be telling, about what branch of the Transformers tree its under as far as design team; mainline,mp, or somebody like yuki who does a little of everything. It would definitely allow them to skip some stuff MP wise like the -masters if they got missing link updates.

Wonder how the yen is gping to affect the anniversary. I want to say, 126 back in 2015? was considered good, its like 149 at this point. While it means the $ goes a lot farther, for people in Japan its the opposite. I imagine exports are picking up some of the slack, but would thet go a whole year full throttle, knowing they'll lose some immediate customers on the Japanese side if they go all in like 2019?

Nah, they just launched a new line...
I'm more worried about the MPG announcements, in regular line Takara went wild and called a Skyfire just last year, so a Jazz or a Cliffjumper are only a matter of when.
But for MPG, i would complete some S1-3 combiners, with components in scale and maybe not partforming.

They’ve announced two versions of one toy. It may prove to be a line, but it’s got less releases than Hybrid Style at the moment.

I wonder when will we get proper anime dinobots. Only Takara could do a good work on those

Two shown off so far, but the solicitation sent to retailers clearly states that these two are the beginning of a new line. On top of that they are hot sellers in Japan. There will absolutely be more.
