I mean shockwave + is just correcting the shade of purple to be a bit more accurate to what was onscreen most of the time (probably after some negative fan feedback over the original’s shade of purple), with what looks to be a limited run, backed up by the higher price. Howe the frag could they make sunstreaker more accurate?

For what it's worth, the same podcast (TFLYP) that Rik Alverez said TT had prototypes for Hound and Arcee, he thought TT's next move was maybe doing TOY accurate MP's. I think he probably needs a little more credit than people wanna give him here. He did work for Hasbro and has/had some insight into what they were thinking. Granted that was a few years ago, but that little bit of info has proven to be fruitful with the news of these + releases. Maybe it's a coincidence. If they wind up doing something similar with say...Tracks? Using the toy face from the black release, but in a blue color scheme? I'd say there's something else happening here. Buying time for something? Who knows... I'm just throwing out speculation.

Reaching, big time. Shockwave is still considered cartoon accurate and is probably one of the most requested repaints and they were always gonna do a Megatron repaint.

Two repaints does not mean a change of aesthetic. Now if the next new mould was toy detailed instead of cartoon then you might have a point but I suspect Hound (or whoever) will be deliciously Sunbow.

Now I need to decide if I wanna drop that huge price for something that's exactly the same as my custom. I'll keep an eye on Amazon jp and hope they do it a bit more reasonably. I'm kinda underwhelmed tbh.

 

Beast Megatron wasn't there before. I can't just make a new one with him in it and say "I totally called it!" or whatever. For all it means now, if they hadn't revealed him and I'd had time to make another one, he would have been in it, but he would not have had the best odds. He'd have been around 10-1, 15-1 alongside Rhinox, Rattrap and maybe Waspinator, and Hound would've been in the lead.

I just got a huge raise today right before my mother-in-law put a Buddhist prayer thread on my wrist for good luck along with some holy water from the homeland (didn’t know Buddhists were so Catholic haha) so I’m thinking this is def ‘glitch in the Matrix’ territory ... feeling blessed guys, hope everyone else is happy, it’s amazing how your perspective can change in just 24 hrs!!
