Yeah i hear what you're saying,i hear that Herc comes upto about 14 inches tall in height with the new add-on kit which is a pretty decent size for a combiner in my book.

Yeah, I don't know how this would work either. Definitely couldn't see it being MP-10 size. Kinda makes me skeptical they'd do it, but mad props if they do and actually pull it off.

IF they are doing Menasor and Breakdown is MP 19 you can be assured the whole set has been finalized. However they do it, I'd like to believe this thing will be worthy of the Masterpiece name and all three modes will be screen accurate.

MP Menasor is bigger news to me than Hercules ever was.

    BRING IT ON!!!

MP Shockwave would rock. I'd definitely get one. What I want most of all at this point though is a new MP Megatron that is scaled with the new Prime. I have the first MP Megatron and he's pretty crappy.

If you're a scale freak, don't buy the constructicons. If they were in scale with each other, Dev's crotch would be enormous (like, way bigger than all the other parts) and his left leg would be tiny. You can't be a scale freak and care about the Constructicons, or you have to completely disregard their alt modes.

If, however, you were to go by the old Marvel Universe Profiles, Devastator is 60-70 Feet tall in combined mode (regardless of the relative size of his components). Just taking that into account, that would make TFC Hercules roughly 1/60 scale, which is the same scale as the MP Seekers (and roughly 2x the scale of any MP Autobot). If you go by the scale sheet though (someone post it, I'm thirsty), He's a little bigger than that, probably closer to 1/100 (which puts him in scale with classics seekers and legends Prime based strictly on alt modes).

In short, just pick something. There is no right answer. There is only "close enough."

Wow 16"!!! Now that's the kind of height i'd want my combiners at...maybe even upto around 18" too.

Are you saying giant & hercules are too small or too big.

I'd prefer new mold Constructicons to be Basic sized. because their 1985 toys were barely legends size.

I think they would look too small if i put either of them in my MP collection...especially Giant.

This is the biggest problem im having with these 3rd party combiners. With the MP line taking over a whole new scale , the newer cars coming out look more like upgraded super detailed Henkeis. So im not sure what to even do with that collection anymore. Yes MT Giant scales well with the classics an what not ( least imo ) , but def not the MP line. Its almost as if the 2 lines are becoming 1. It kinda sux for me cause I really want Giant , theres just nowhere that hes gonna be able to fit in

Really? You mean with the Shapeways leg extensions? The Rage add-on set doesn't really add much height to him, I don't think, just girth (especially the shoulders).

Yeah man, that pic I posted earlier shows how MP Starscream who is 8" tall only coming upto his lower crotch....and that is with a pretty wide stance on Herc/Devastator too.....obviously if he was stood upright he'd be a bit bigger. He literally now scrapes into the lower part of my Detolf:

Edit, just got the tape measure out and measured the Detolf section. It's exactly 16" so measured Herc in that (^) pose and he comes in at just under 15.5" to the top of his upper bulldozer shovel....just under 14" to the top of his head.....so a little bigger if stood straight upwards legs together.

    With MP Starscream:

One of the scale sheets has Megs, Starscream etc upto Devys crotch so this fits that. Problem is there is another knocking about that puts them no higher than his mixing barrel. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

The way I always figured Devs height was each bot was about as big as prime in bot mode. I took my hybrid convoy figure, and he is just about the same height as the G1 constrcticons, and that put convoy at Devestator's knees on my customized G1 Devs. Seems about right to me, but makes Devestator almost undisplayable... I mean.. where would he go?? o_O ...

As far as i was informed the DOTM Shockwave figures sold pretty well in Japan. I dunno about North America, but using Japan as a yardstick, I say the probabilities are quite encouraging.

The only concern I have is that they might (as far as I can tell) incorporate the light gimmick on his eyes to justify increased costs.

Question - would anyone pay for a 200-250 dollar MP Shockwave?

Mmmm... As AWESOME as a MP Shockwave would be. Not sure I would WANT to spend quite that much for him.. He's not much bigger than Megatron, size-wise.
