Not sure if this was directed towards my comment, but I genuinely never considered 3rd party affecting Hasbro's and TT's decision making. It seems obvious to me now, and maybe it's because I am relatively new to both 3rd party and the MP line, but I never put much thought into it.

I apologize if my previous comment came of as sarcastic. Was just stating my interpretation of your comments and that I found them interesting. I probably could have worded it better.

So.... if LianToys unveils proto shots of their Darkness Emperor (aka Ultra-sized G1 Megatron), Takara may speed up the release of MP Megatron v2 to squash them (similar to MP-13 Soundwave getting released to stomp out FT's Acousticwave)? So far, LianToys has only teased us with a silhouette (and an estimated height measurement of 23 cm). Interesting. XD

I have friends working at Hasbro. They said Starscream is supposed to be coming out here. No idea when though. Just what is heard around the company.

If Hasbro has intention of even releasing half the MP's that TT are they may have problems finding an outlet for them. TRU is the only recent MP "outlet" that Hasbro has ATM and I have a feeling in th pit of my stomach telling me that they may not want to take on that many MP's... I just hope with these Amazon Exclusives open up a gateway for US releases of MP's on their site providing another outlet. Plus with Amazon having preorder and preorder limits at times it may make it easier to handle releasing more??? But, that topic may be best covered in an entirely new thread no?

Yeah it's just a rumor floating around the offices. They also said there were issues with the Thundercracker scheme and that is was going to be held back, and that was wrong.

Anyhow, I was told mp-11 is coming here, but take it with a grain of salt. Probably coming next SDCC.

Don't mean to derail the thread! Looking forward to hearing TCracker and the rest of you guys! Galvatron?? That would be great, but I want a Prowl MP big time.

Just curious as to what everyone else thinks but if and when we get Galvatron what are the chances there won't be a Hasbro release just like there is a chance of no Shockwave or Megatron V2 Hasbro version? Also if MP19 is a Con and is possibly a Stunticon then wouldn't Breakdown make sense as he could just be a repaint of Sideswipe?

I'm inclined to think that Galvatron would be more likely for release because Hasbro can't do Megs or Shockwave due to toy laws. After learning that, at least with Thundercracker, the two cases per store are all the TRUs in my area are getting, and that they've already gotten them and are gone, I'm ready to write off Hasbro MPs as a total loss anyway. If I have to pay prices on eBay that approach Takara prices, I may as well get the (usually) better color schemes/accessories of the Takara versions off TFSource or BBTS. At least I can rack up customer points rather than making some scalper's day.

If that were the case there would be more fan rage than if they did Sunstreaker out of Sideswipe. I don't think Takara would do that.

I am a wee bit late but I am happy that Galvatron is the next large scale MP coming out. I would actually PAY MONEY, just to see those CAD's as well! (I'm being serious here too). I guess from a competition standpoint it makes sense. But I mean really Takara, why even chance it with the competition? Just completely stamp them out, with wave after wave of MP's. Though I guess they could potentially take a hit themselves in some of the other lines they produce as well.

I hope the damn thing would not be a pain in the ass to find.

Interesting but good to hear that Starscream is on their radar, even if it's about a year away. It'd be nice to get a Skywarp too from Hasbro if Takara's not going to do one after all.

    Galvatron? Possible, I think.

Breakdown from Sideswipe is a no go. This is the Masterpiece line, not Classics. No shortcuts should be taken just to expand the lineup. Breakdown has an entirely different 'bot mode from Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, so he'll need his own mold, regardless of whether it's made to combine with other Stunticons or not.

My sincerest apologies if I sounded like a douche. My earlier reaction was to remind people that my opinion is solely mine and what I experienced or rather what I was told. Your post reminded me that there will be other people trying to justify their points to me, hence the need to remind that you all don't have to believe me if you do not want to.

Nothing against you, my friend. Rather I thank you because your post is a wake up call to me to remind me that I need to every once in a while, insert a caveat to my info.

Cheers, and I am looking forward for your inputs.

I've been thinking this for ages, ever since iGears started KO'ing MP's actually. I'm still waiting for a 3rd party to reveal a MP Shockwave but it seems their holding off on it's reveal until it's ready to ship.

Maybe it's time i started a 3rd party and released a few teaser pics of a MP Shockwave prototype to test this theory.....

My thinking was, more of if they've finished all designs, done testing out prototypes, and ready to go to manufacturing for the main run. Given these companies aren't huge toy makers and wouldn't have that much cash to burn, they'd probably get a fair amount if solicits first before going through, rather than risk carrying dead stock in their warehouse.

I would love to see those CAD designs too just to see which characters were in their thoughts and to also see their take on them.I bet there would be a few surprising characters in there too
