    1) Between those size classes, no. Maybe more in between of voyager and leader class size.

    2) That sounds like a nice addition, so yes.

    3) I refer to my answer for #1

    4) HELL YES! Hopefully some Stunticons and Menasor!

I agree here, the licensing thing is not a major factor for me either. However I do wonder what is going to be the amount of tme between releases. Because "IF" these things come to pass it is gonna have to be more than 2 a year. I would be fine with 4-6 a year. :thumb

    MP Binaltech please.

They could pump out 5-6 a year and sprinkle a couple repaints as filler.

    Yes.

Realistically, I can see some smaller stuff meaning more frequent releases of higher-level collectible TFs at a price point lower than the big MPs.

Considering the major characters who get MPs tend to be large, this kind of line seems inevitable for MPs to expand much farther beyond leaders.

I'd love them to be somewhat in scale with Classics. As I've mentioned before, I think a line like this would be the pefect way to do stuff that may not fit at retail or with the per-figure budget that comes with it. I currently have MP-10 with Classics since he fits stylistically with many of them, even if he's a bit large in robot mode. I chalk that up to hieratic scale. TFs are often not even in scale with themselves in both modes., let alone other TFs. They've never been perfect since it's impossible

Licences car modes don't mean a whole lot to me, personally, if they're done as well as Classics Sunstreaker and company, who make rather convincing non-specific modern Lamborghinis. Licensed cars can be really cool, but I feel as though some of the Alternity and Binaltech seemed a bit forced. Licensing also hits a snag when you end up with some authentic looking characters while others may have to be drastically altered for an existing model. If licensing makes the line more appealing to casual consumers and it's done well, I'm all for it.

This may be considered a bad thing to some, but I'd also be fine if a more complex line was able to take the shared tooling we've seen in some of the more clever Classics reuses. The complexity could hide reuse rather well, and I prefer it to the straight head swaps seen in Alt/Binal that don't often fit the character. Just a random example, but a bumblebee and cliffjumper could share the same basic skeleton while a Jazz and Prowl could perhaps share some internal parts since their engineering has similar aspects. That may be difficult within the confines of super-accurate licensed car proportions, though.

If something like this were to happen and turn out really great, I'd likely be willing to part with much of my G1, BW and Unicron Trilogy stuff in order to afford it.

    1) Smaller scaled, between Deluxe and Voyager sized

    Sure.

    2) Licensed vehicles (either American/European/Japanese makes)

Perfect, especially if this time they license the actual vehicles characters were in the 80's. No more fitting someone into a new form that doesn't match well. This is the type of detail that would take the line to another level of perfection.

    3) Somewhat in scale with the majority of the current CHUG lines

MP is MP, CHUG is CHUG, I won't be interacting the two.

    4) Possibility of a combiner

Obviously as you can see from the market, can and should be done and done properly. ROTF blew a great opportunity with one of the worst toy designs of the last decade, not to mention worst value for $100 in TF history.

Is this a hint or just a funny image? Oh wait, is this what I think it is? Something we want is being designed the CAD way?

I can only assume that if a line such as this were to come to pass, it wouldn't be for a loooong time from now :(

Bingo, I'm with chrisr. I just wish TTomy would've at least concentrate and release about 30% of its new figure or line before abandon the line.

Yes. Great way to get new, modernized versions of Ironhide, Trailbreaker and Ratchet, and various others. If it paves the way for more aircraft, that's even better.

An MP line like that reminds me of a modern G1; line of smaller scale vehicles(not as big as current MP's), licensed vehicles, possibility of a combiner, and diecast metal. Essentially more "Classic" than Classics was.

In the case of combiners, I figure that the price wouldn't be too bad. If they make the limbs Alternity sized at 50.00 a pop, and the leader at 100 it would only be 300.00 a set. Naturally I have not seen any of the designs, so I don't know what the actual plan is. But this is my guess.

Those are the perfect sizes and prices! If Takara Tomy ever does MP combiners, I think they should stick to this idea.

Ya know , its pissing me off why were dancing around the truth of this all. Why is it so hard to get G1 styled figures updated just the way they did with MP-10! They could make whatever character they want! Just be true to the character there doing. By true i mean , say for instance Ironhide , make a red van with a yellow center stripe , able to transform into a voyager sized robot. The icing on the cake is a couple toon accurate accessories an boom , done! Next!

If anything, Takara/Hasbro should finish the "classics verse" - give us Trailbreaker, Blitzwing, and Shockwave, and other combiners. I want them to fit the aesthetic and scale of our current crop of reimagined g1 figures at retail price points, but if they can't do that, I'd pay 3rd party prices for those characters.

"rebooting" a new line and doing the same characters again is boring, even if they are modern and quality

Thus, I want G1 stuff to complement the existing classics verse, not replace it

    1. Sure if the character was traditionally smaller (Prowl, Hotrod, etc)

    2. Always nice makes for great vehicle modes

3.absolutely yes, I love using masterpieces as extensions of my classics collection (mp-10, mp seekers, mp Grimlock).

    4. If the combiner towered over mp-10 (12 plus inches) then yes, otherwise it would kind of be silly.
