Thats all part of QC. From the very beginning of development to the final packaged product and every step in between.

Hi all, just found out something interesting in the ACTOY site.

    13. Wrong Rear Transparent Lights (at the Feet).

Added this at the main page for your reference.

If it is an isolated issue to that buyer then it is not an inherent qc problem and not an indicative point that ALL MP10 are like that.

I hope you don't turn this into a m*********** panic fest.

True, but most people think of manufacturing defect when talking about QC and not design QC.

DFMEA vs. PFMEA. Both are important. (but whatever, just engineering gobbledy-gook for those outside the field, lol.)

    @TCracker,

Exactly, sh*t happens. No one makes 100% perfect stuff 100% of the time. No one. (though I do understand it sucks to be the person that gets the bad one. )

Re: loose joints. Like others I'll put another plug in for Future Finish.

I've tightened up a lot of TFs now with this stuff (most recently loose hips on a Grappel) and it works well everytime with little risk. I use a medecine dropper to help with getting just a tiny bit where I need it. The idea of using glue freaks me out.

    Personal opninion:

Loose joints are fixable, mangled joints from shoddy pin assembly = return.

Hi, I did not have all of the above QC problem but I compile them from what I know from the web.

The only QC issue I've noticed on mine is that his ab grill has a couple of small chips in the center.

Other than that, perfect, best I can tell.

My toe lights are fine, and no stress marks thankfully. I've got a little bump where the bumper was cut, but it's not nearly as severe as the photo. Tires could fit a bit more snugly, but again, the photo is worse. For those with reversed toe lights, can they be reversed by disassembling the foot?

I see that one problem listed is that the chest doors don't close, but all I had to do was press the grill in and now the doors are perfect.

Some people have had very real issues with their MP-10, but I'm going to assume that those are the more rare cases. I wouldn't begin comparing this one to Rodimus, at least. My first TRU Rodimus crumbled to bits, while the replacement is holding up very well. Rodimus is a strange beast.

I hope everyone who's had an MP-10 issue gets it resolved. I think this thread is a great idea to know what to look out for even if I don't think you should expect any problems. Most seem great, but please buy from a good seller if you can. I'm planning on doing that with any high-priced item when I'm able to.

I am on the fence about asking for a replacement.

Hell I don't even know if i can still ask for a replacement because i have my MP-10 for a couple of weeks. But ill contact Kapow-Toys about that.

I usualy can handle QC issue's like missing paint apps and problems with loose joints and such.

But my MP-10 currently has the stress marks on the chest hinges and the very loose left arm.

I can live with the arm problem but i could not stand it if any of the chest windows brake off.. It looks like they will be fine if i would never transform him or ever move the chest panels. But that would destroy most of the awesome features that i like so much about this figure.

Anyone else have problems with the chest panels and have them completely brake off?

Mine had two right antennae and a sliver of paint scratched off from the ridge on his faceplate.

BBTS is sending me a replacement part.

My first one had that exact same problem. My replacement had a warped windshield wiper (it's a separate piece if anyone hasn't noticed). The third is great but the left exhaust pipe likes to fall down once in a while.

I am quite impressed that BBTS has so many replacement parts to send. I think I should consider BBTS for the online purchase!

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUU I was just thinking, "You know I barely play with my Masterpiece figures, I really should." I pick up my MP-10 to transform for probably the 5th time EVER and his damn wheel cover hinges BUST OPEN. As seen in the first post's photo. I already tried supergluing the little buggers back on, even shaved down the plastics ridges which are clearly too pointy to survive the strain of holding. Nothing's working.

WTF are these MP figures going to survive for resale, much less hand-me-downs? This was the Takara version too, I paid good money for it!

Sorry to necro this thread, but I have a question regarding the crotch area, I just got my re-issue Takara MP10 and the crotch area has this "bubble", I encircled it in the pic:

Is this a common occurrence? Thanks in advance.

I just opened an original release from 2011 and it doesn't have a bubble. Hopefully someone with a reissue can confirm.

I was aware of the common issues such as loose ankles, chest gap, and legs pegging with the trade off of tanks un-pegging. I noticed other issues, researched, and came upon this thread. What struck me the most was the white overlay on Spike's pants and Optimus's tires. It was reminiscent of the TMNT Classic Collection 1990 Movie figures where the belts and bands had a white film over them. When at room temperature, they appear to cure and become normal color. Camera's not picking it up on the tires, but they're starting to look black again as with Spike's blue pants. I don't have initial photos of them to compare.

As for the rest, I have stress marks in front of the arm hinges to the torso (which BTW are loose), residue on the bottom of the right eye, and a horizontal crack from the driver's side windshield to the side view mirror. What I found most interesting as @Dogbomber pointed out, was the index fingers having the opposite sides imprinted on them, 'L' on the right and 'R' on the left. If you cross swap and/or flip them they won't fit by design. Maybe misprint? My Hasbro version is like this too.

Anyway, old figure, but thought I'd add to the list for reference.
