2010 because the paint job shits on the other IMO.

60$ price tag for something that has advantages and disadvantages compared to 2010 unicron. (as in it wins some and lose some, and then the price is cheaper)

 

Amazon because its the only one I have...but seriously...they both have their own flaws, so obviously the better priced one since its basically the same as the more expensive one....lol Amazon, FTW

 

I think I prefer the Amazon. While I don't own the 2010 I've seen a lot of pictures of it. Compared to the Amazon one the paint apps just seem a little too monochromatic. I also prefer the more goldish color of the Amazon compared to the orange of the 2010. And obviously the price makes the Amazon more appealing as well.

Still either one is fantastic. I would be 100% satisfied with either one. The reasons I prefer the Amazon one are so minor that in the grand scheme of things it's moot. It's comparable to saying the 2010 hit the ball out of the park while the Amazon hit it out of the park and broke a car window. Both are amazing.

Much better than the original release, in my opinion.

 

The amazon one in my opinion objectively only has the problem of a rubbery pvc planet shell.

I think the more faded out Amazon colorscheme has the right balance to make you take Unicron very seriously. Its a toyetic interpretation of the movie colors. And takaras is a direct animation accurate vibrant color scheme.

Still the cheaper one. I feel is going to look better with Generations figures and less Animation themed toys.

The Amazon version IS in the running, pure and simple, so when price is factored in, it's clear cut for me.

That said, I think that Takaracron wins in bot mode and Amacron in planet mode. And I do love the blackwash.

 

I only own the 2010 Unicron, and I personally think it looks MUCH better than the Amazon one. Regardless of the price.

 

I'm going to have to say Amazon as well. I do like the colors better, but I'm a much bigger fan of the $60 price! I have the Armada and Energon versions as well and I think that all three are fantastic!

I have both versions of the 2010 and Amazon Unicron... I actually prefer the Amazon version over the 2010 version for several reasons associated to colors and cost.

To me, the Amazon version has better paint applications whereas the 2010 looks rather bland and you simply can't beat the price of the Amazon version!

 

I vastly prefer the look of the 2010 which I bought before the Amazon one was announced. I also prefer the box of the 2010 figure which looks elegant and allows me to easily store the figure when it is not being displayed. However, if I were choosing now I would pick the Amazon version merely because there is such a price difference.

 

Looks like a majority of people are basing a lot of it on price, without price taken into consideration, I think the colorscheme on 2010 fits in much, much better with the classic look. The colors on it pop out a hell of a lot better where to me the Amazon version looks like it has been rolled in mud or somthing. The saving grace for me on the Amazon version is the planet mode, and really the only reason I picked it up. In bot mode, the colors on 2010 blow it out of the water. If I didn't have the 2010, I would have been pretty satisfied with the Amazon one, but putting them next to each other, there is really no competition based only on their appearance.

 

Same, I much prefer the 2010 version. The brilliant orange looks great, and complements the grey and white parts better in my opinion. He looks like stepped out of an animation cel.

The Amazon version is still very nice, though, don't get me wrong. I just like the 2010 version better.

 

I broke down and bought the Amazon one so now I have both. I like both of them but, I still think the 2010 is better and more accurate compared to his movie look.
