That's pretty much what he said. He could wait and didn't need to spend the extra $9. I do believe that BBTS listed the more expensive version as in-stock first though, hoping some of the impatient collectors would bite.
And it's really not your place to tell someone what they should or should not be spending their money. Posts like that piss me off no end. The fact that someone has enough self-control to wait a day and save $9 tells you exactly nothing about the state of their finances, not that it's anything you should comment on or offer "advice" for in any case.

 

Bad idea for BBTS. One of the draws of ordering with them is the no-hassle, free cancellation of pre-orders if the customer so desires. As it's been mentioned elsewhere, if you have to have your toys immediately, it's best to order from overseas retailers.

Okay, so I called BBTS and spoke to Kelly.

1- She confirmed the coin version DOES NOT come with the Amazon exclusive shoulder missiles.
2- When I asked when they would be releasing the stock of the regular MP Bluestreaks, she said she wasn't sure. Anywhere from 1 week to a couple of weeks.

Make of that what you will. It is the same stock. Just $9 for a coin they got for free. Like I said, shaddy. I guess the new thing is to wait longer unless you pay an addition $9, on top of the additional $20 you pay for "amazing service". Anyway, point made, I will leave it at that and stop saying anything on the topic.

But I was at least able to confirm the above.

 

Hi everyone - Joel from BBTS here - I was alerted about the comments/concern over our MP-18 listings. This simply is an issue of the timing of our shipments. the MP-18 with coins shipped to us from HK a couple days before the MP-18 without coins shipped to us from Japan. Ideally they would have arrived at the same time. We featured the MP-18 with coin simply because the figure is new and we wanted to feature it - whichever version was in stock. the regular MP-18 are in no way being held back to push sales of the coin version, we expect the regular MP-18 in this morning and will stock it as soon as it arrives.

 

Thanks for the clarification, hopefully that squashes all the conspiracy theories.
