This has nothing to do with Hasbro other than that BBTS's initial shipment of triple changers was later than expected and after brick and mortar sightings started popping up, a fluke if you look at most releases from the past few years.

Also the cases for the deluxe class with Bee are evenly split at 2x each character, Bee is just at a lower price because he was the only preorder that didn't sell out for the four figures in that wave.

All that being said, I'm really impressed with the case breakdowns for these next few waves of Generations and Beast Hunters stuff. This is so much better compared to even this time last year.

 

Uh ... what? No, that's not what happened at all. Since, you know, Bee isn't out yet. What happened was Hasbro didn't send them as many Springers/Blitzwings as they ordered. Period. No other figures related. Bee is not out yet. He's on clearance already because, and I am bolding this for emphasis, Even though he has the exact same figure per case ratio as the other Thrilling 30 figures in his wave (ie everyone is 2 per case), there have been so many Bumblebees since the movies began that BBTS automatically assumes he will be the least desired figure.

And since they have to get two of him in every case (again, along with 2 Orions, 2 Megatrons, and Trailcutters), they are pricing him at clearance in the hopes of selling more of him to justify the cost of buying more cases to get more Trailcutters, which have already sold out at least twice.

 

I stand corrected by excellent information. My sarcasm was not taken well, and I definitely am not bashing on Bbts, or really on Hasbro either. I've been on the boards a long time and understand how the distribution is a random thing.

And to keep the thread on topic, I am eagerly waiting on the metroplex preorder.

Doesn't even look or function like a trailer, it's just a big pile of robot parts on wheels for him to lug around. It's also sort of ugly how the original hollow feet end up facing forward on the thighs. And it has a Prime face, not a Magnus face? This thing is DOA, in my opinion.

I'm surprised BBTS commited to 500 from a 3rd party that hasn't produced anything else previously. I wonder if they have a cancellation clause.

 

It looks cool but it also looks like it might as well not have a figure beneath it, it's so damned covered up. Plus the trailer is almost the exact same shape as FP's Rodimus upgrade (Parallax?).

I agree with everyone else. That is way too much. I'm still trying to talk myself into one of the Battle Tankers at about $140. No way am I going pay $170 for an add-on.

 

FYI, there are two X-01 Code instock and seven shadow commander at $110.

I bought all the battle tankers. I'm really liking the shattered glass (toxitron?) version with the chains. The others, eh. . .nice but not over $100 nice.
