Over the years, a lot of toys based on, in homage to or intended as an upgrade for G1 Mirage have been released. While some (such as the G2 Go-Bot) have been merely toys vaguely resembling the G1 character given a new deco, others are more obviously based on the G1 guy. However, these toys sport a lot of different head sculpts, which, while all based on the G1 character and his toy to some degree, differ in many aspects. Some are closely based on the original toy, others are closer to the animation model, whereas others try to blend elements of the two and yet others try to innovate the design while retaining a few key elements. Which head do you like the most?

Note that this is only about the toys. I've left out a myriad of cartoon screencaps and interpretations by various comic book artists, and the animation model is only included for reference.

Going by your pics, it's Classics or Robot Masters for me. I think Classics is the only version I have, but it's a nice headsculpt. Bit small, but I always liked it.

Nice clean lines and distinctive appealing design. Classics Mirage has a great headsculpt.

I don't have a huge attachment to the character, so going by the sculpts alt Mirage is one handsome dude. My vote goes for RM Rijie though, gutsy looking little face he's got (and I have the toy :D ).

This. The Alternators Mirage doesn't really look like Mirage to me, but it's a great headsculpt. The Robot Masters is probably the winner for accuracy (though the Robot Masters is nice too)

Which Explains why we had a Repaint As one, well its a gobot homage, but hey still a fembot.

really,i Like the Classics design head, the alternators one in a close second and R.I.D Indy Mirage in third.

I'm not a fan of the Classics sculpt; looks too "young". Definitely have to go with Robot Masters, even though I think there's yet to be a truly fantastic Mirage head sculpt.

Classics. Alt Mirage's head looks cool but IMO it doesn't scream 'Mirage' when I look at it like most of the other Alts do for their respective characters.

Lookin' at the pics, I like the approach of the Robot Heroes figure (close to the cartoon model, but colored to evoke the image of the G1 toy). I think the Alternators version is a nifty-looking sculpt, but only superficially 'Mirage-like'.

Yeah. I keep putting off getting Fracture. I bet she's spendy on Ebay now. Though I know there is that KO version also. I'll have to plan a Fracture purchase when I get paid.

Chose Classics for blending the original toy and cartoon model's styles while still offering a slight new spin. All of the options are nice in some way or another however.

I think i give this one to Robotmasters ~ it matches the animation model the best. Followed by G1 who jsut had a really cool head.

I LOVE the Alternators Mirage headsculpt as a cool headsculpt, but honestly never thought it was the best representation of Mirage, and i always thought the round Classics headsculpt was a little wierd.

Am I the only one who thinks the Sunbow models are often more boring than the original toy heads?

Robot Heroes or Alternators for me. The Classics looks a bit too hemispherical.
