This 3rd party Headmaster resurgence is really tickling my 7 year old self. Got so many memories of knocking about the pub me Mum and Dad used to run with Chromedome (can't wait for Code to show up), Weirdwolf(took him everywhere with me as a kid), Hardhead and Skullcruncher. They condemned the Battlechargers to death by automatic transformation, straight to the bottom of our pond
It was ace. And they deserved it.
So.. Hardbone. I'm very happy with my Universe/Headrobots combo version, but that is one tasty looking update. Anyone have thoughts on this one?

Good shout. Just Googled it and that's what it is.

It looks nice but it'll be good to see the finished product rather than the garishly photoshopped neon green version. As good as it is though, it's a pass for me as I've got to start cutting back considering how much is out soon.

It looks totally awesome and you should get one. It's a good size, it's better priced than Code, and is a really nice, really accurate update to Hardhead. If I were still getting Headmasters for display, he'd totally beat out the Headrobots thing.

    Doooo eeeeet!

Whats the chance of Toyworld moving on and also doing a Chromedome? The aesthetic of Hardbone is more my taste, and the size is better for me too.....

Thanks for the reminder! You played really well and deserved the win but we were shocking even allowing for the missing players.

Was looking to recoup what I paid for it - £35. It's in excellent condition but is missing the red power master Knok. Comes with missile, Skar and blue chest thingy. Pm me if interested - cheers.

Man, that's difficult they're both gorgeous. Red Alert just pops but Sideswipe is the red Lambo of my childhood dreams - aaaagh can't do it. Both or none lol! What about you?

Liking it a lot - looks spot on, really tasty. Headmasters were always cool - fact. Where is it on sale?

Agree on the colours - it's pretty clear, especially when you see him next to the equally garish Aurora (Searchlight) that the Photoshop has been doing overtime there.

That 7 year old me likes the way you think.

    It does look the part.

See, I do love my Headrobots version, the Onslaught repaint was surprisingly great even without the upgrade, with the kit - BAM! Superb. I do think a lot of my affection for it comes from the similarities to his IDW version as well.

But this one, it's G1 all the way. And that's what has drawn me into FP's fx line. These updates are really taking me back. I think it's why I have no qualms letting go of the character updates I didn't own as a lad.

And as you say, a price has been touted and it's a good one.

Oh we know where this is headed.

@wasp- Code is FP's Chromedome. Which while I like it, I'm really going off FP's aesthetic. Toyworld's is much nicer.

I imagine the odds of TW doing all the HMs is pretty darn likely.

Hardbone (snigger) will be mine, oh yes. He passes the highly restrictive "I have no bloody space anymore so stop buying useless toys that end up being murdered by cold in the attic" test. I'm a big Headmasters fan so I can't resist (though, oddly, I don't care so much for the gimmick. Even as a kid I just sort of dismissed it as an annoying bastard that left my toy useless when the cat would run off with the head.). That, plus Hardhead being one of the two and a half G1 toys to survive my childhood (the others being Dragstrip and Brainstorm's headless corpse) pretty much seals the deal, even with the headrobots one sitting happily on my shelf - this one looks worlds better, even if the green is a little slutty.

Fingers crossed they do more from that set - if they keep this up then it looks like they'll edge out the Fansproject guys I've almost given up trying to resist. Hopefully they do a Brainstorm (to complete the "surviving toys re-imagined" trinity) and Chromedome (because the Perfect Effect Rewind requires needs his Conjunx Endura ).

I still really like the FP aesthetic, I'm just not such a big fan of the Jizai look. Definitely down for a bit of Hardboning. Or something.
