i was excited of the thought of it until i see it and had a good look at it , in all honesty going by how good fanstoys soundwave looked this was pretty much underwhelming and its all to do with the legs hose and alt mode

I am not really bothered by FT Shockwave. I have very little interest in figures that try to pretend to be the G1 figure. Its why I am less enthusiastic about MP Soundwave. I like my new figures to be a different perspective on the character, or a new transformation, or bring something extra of the character. I am not knocking it as an effort, as I know that a lot of people want exactly this, its just not what I look for.

I'm not sure about FansToys Shockwave. It looks like a great figure but I've never bought third party TF's so I'm a little wary about the quality.

    Im up for shockers,
I totally get the whole "yeah he looks great" at first, then the "wait a min, what's up with the legs" response after looking at the picture for a few mins,

The hose problem is just people being panicky over what seems like a simple solution,
The legs are abit meh but i can live with it no probs,
The good thing about fantoys is there actually listening to criticism and feedback,
I know the first released pic looked blue, but if they say he's gonna be toon purple with a yellow eye, that's good enough for me,
I would rather have a mp shocky in my collection now'ish then wait for takara, because it still might be a few years away,
And if takara do decide to do a shocky and he genuinely looks better then its a simple upgrade,
If not, id be really happy with fantoys version,
Has a pic of him with mp10 been Released? The thin comment has me intrigue

Yeah I know what you mean,I'm impatient for a 'MP' class Shockwave and this is pretty close. It's only nitpicking and the hose problem can be gotten around IMO. The legs are too blocky but if this is in correct colours with working lights then it would only be QC problems that would stop me buying. It still looks 95% right :D

Link to pic is here and it's stance and size work really well.

I still can't decide wether to do Starscream or to do it up as Thundercracker and just get the Takara Tomy Starscream.

Either way I love that mould, if only the classics one was that good.

Got a day off tomorrow so I might play a bit of WFC to see if I can get a good feel for how Thundercracker's colour layout.

My assaulter shipped today and I just managed to score a grail (tfcc runabout and runamuck) at a really good price from a board member . Also popped into my local home bargains and picked up a couple of the more humanoid bakugan out of intrest for 99p a peice and im actually pretty impressed.

I went this year and managed to score a Universe Onslaught for a decent price.
Plus I got the HeadRobot upgrade kit of a friend who had a few to make him into Fort Max.... if I ever get round to doing these upgrades.
Him, Battle Tanker and Skeletor are all waiting to be sorted.

Looks like FansProject are going to be releasing their Function X Headmaster soon. First up it seem to be Chromedome: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...refansproject-toys-for-tots-promotion-176478/
As much as I'd love a Classics version of Chromdome the fact customs fees would be slapped on puts me off. Plus I'd like to see the figure first since the images that were shown at this years TFCon didn't inspire me much.

Not headmasters look neat, not ordering anything from bbts though, they're an absolute customs magnet.

TFSource sell much the same range of TF merch as BBTS, and are a lot less likely to get you collared by customs, if you've not used them before.

With these Headmasters in the works, wouldnt it be great to find some good condition G1 versions to display with them? If only we knew where to get such specimens.... :thumb  I know that this will disappoint a lot of people in this thread... but the faux fur coat has now been sold. Sorry guys, you were all too slow.

These new Headmasters have me in turmoil (first world problems, et al). I always far preferred the Autobot versions to the Decepticons, of which the one I liked the most was always Skullcruncher. However, the FP Skullcruncher in Prime colours looks pretty bad to me, while the other two Decepticon versions look by far the best of the bunch. I really like Chromedome as a character, and he would have to be really bad for me not to buy him to be honest, but I wasnt wild about Brainstorm when images were first released, and even Chromedome looks..... fragile, if thats the right word.

The only thing that I am not confused about is that I am not interested in Minerva.

The current news rumour from TRU is it won't be out until January.
Ofc saying that it will appear 2moro now! But if you're able to I would try and find one. You will probably end up paying less than you will here but also get it faster.

I'd grab him if you see him, the constant ping-pong between Hasbro UK and TRU is odd at best, unreliable at worst.

"Great news fans, we have this £100 toy you're all clamouring for in the warehouse, *but* we're going to wait until after Xmas when you've got the least amount of disposable income before we put it on sale. That way we can blame low UK sales on why we don't bring figures over to the UK and not our own incompetence"

And if you find a GDO Wheelie I'd love you forever :)
