Just paid for FOC, got 4 weeks til i start Uni so decided to get it for some last minute gaming prior to doing work only. Hope the story mode is longer than WFC, been trying to avoid spoilers so should be fun.

Was unable to get a transfer with Tesco so i'm gonna be without a job for the first time in 6 years in 2 weeks, but it means i'll have weekends to myself for the first time in 6 years as well. Still hoping to get some part time work while i'm at Plymouth as i always feel happier when i have money coming in.

Mrs. S has dragged me shopping for a new suit, you'd be surprised how little fits when your 6"4 and 16.5stne....

Not a single new piece of plastic crack to be found, guess I'm off to Kapow!

As for Ultra Magnus, I thought that was a stroke of Genius by DW separating the bot from the armour, especially as the original still came with fists etc.

RID-Maggie just wasn't the same, but I be he *could* deal with that now ;)

But Optimus is so much fun!!!

Yeah they're available, but since you can't pick a particular figure, i'd probably end up getting sent another Prime. CV Optimus Maximus is on there too for £34.

Still chuffed with my latest eBay bargain which turned up yesterday:

    99p! :D

I was only wanting one of each Vehicons, but now I have them I really like them. Darkness Megs just looks excellent. AM Breakdown/AM Swerve I'd probably just reprupose as a Classics figure, which I seem to be doing with any Prime figure I get.

Had a look at AM-W07-9 and the combined mode just doesn't look as good as the other set. Though AM-W07 does look like it's be a good fit with AM Swerve.

Think I'll have to resist as I've already spent far more on TF's this year than I wanted to.

99p? How did I miss that! Good work there, still one of the few animated toys I have to get.

From my point of view, I have a Powerizer Megatron, but the Darkness one just looks so much better...

I have the problem that I've been getting a bit too much into the Microns so I'm getting them anyway. I'm due to have a bit of a TF clearout soon, once I go through my collection again to see what I actually have!

Didn't have the FOC figures in my Asda either, although they did have Cyberverse vehicle set if anyone was wanting those. Have also seen that Optimus Maximus and the Weaponisers at TRU if that hasn't already been mentioned here.

Also, PM'd you about AMW stuff if you're interested. (For anyone else looking into the AMWeapons, I'll have some coming from RK in September, ask for details.)

Even if FoC went out to retailers for the official release today, I doubt that most supermarkets are bothered enough to put them all out right away, and most will wait for a shelf refresh, so I would expect them to start showing up around the weekend.

Wow mate that's a steal for that price! In my opinion you should ask for more monies, how much would you ask for if I'm interested in those Vehicons, Bumblebee, Arcee, and Ratchet?

good score dude - I think mine cost £25 back in the day,

I'm tempted by foc'er prime as he does look good, won't bother with the rest tho - except swipe and that's if he makes the long trip over here,
But prime does look like a great desk top toy,

Now peeps buy my stuff - mp's are calling me,

Hehe, yeah I was amazed seeing him with 20 mins to go and zero bids at 99p. I'd have gone upto £12ish, so couldn't leave him for that!

@Erector - veeery tempting, but he's just too coot to let go!

@Wasp - FoCimus is well worth getting. He's now my favourite smaller Optimus figure, and one of the most fun little bots released in ages.

Took me a few hours last night, and by the time I was done my eyes were all bloodshot and strained from all the intense staring.

And while I'm no expert at Airfix, I'm not a novice either, but I did get a few things wrong with this fella.

    i) I sanded down a part I couldn't quite clip off with the nail clippers with a nail file, but ended up scratching and damaging more than if I just persevered with the nail clippers. Its the hatch on his left shoulder, its not really noticable but really, I shouldn't have made that bonehead mistake in the first place. You can see what I'm talking about in the second picture just above Microglides wing.

ii) Max's left arm hatch thing (the red thing on his wrist) was snapped on the sprue. I 'think' I may have damaged it when I was separating the sprues from each other but I was all 'OMG SHIT!' Anyway, strategic superglue and its sound, but there's a slight distortion to it now, which can see in the 4th picture. If you look really closely you can see an extra warp or line thats not on the right arms hatch.

iii) His right fist was oh so slightly too big for its position, but rather than sand it down slightly I thought I would just force it. Stupid stupid boy. Sure it popped in but caused MASSIVE stress marks on the back end of his wrist. The arm went straight into boiling water to alleviate the stress marks and its 75% better than it was, but some stress is visible. Doesn't seem to affect the toy at all though. Just fuggin' annoying that I did such a bonehead thing, which could have been a lot worse.

Anyway apart from those three assembly went off without a hitch.

Critisms, the labels are kinda poop, there's not enough of them and they're lower detail than the originals. His face label is one whole label, that ruins his face a bit, Max has a fully scupted face but the label covers all of it. Ideally only his eyes should be stickered so you can see the detail. If Reprolabels do a full set of labels based off the 80's toy I'll be on them in a FLASH.

But yeah, all in all I'm very impressed with this. In city mode he's got a activated ramp tilt in his central bay, put Microcharger in there, press the lever and out he slides! Max also has a spring loaded launcher on one of the ramps, put its really too powerful for any of the Microbots, they just get blasted away.

One thing though, in city mode the central bay can swing right up and over revealing the inside of the base, I can't see what its for or any G1 Fort Maxes that do this. Its not in the intructions either, it just 'is'. Why does it do this?

I should relaly have taken a picture of it but y'know. I'm an ass.

    It's so prettyful!

I would not have the patience to sit there and build something like that off a sprue though.

....I did make this over the weekend though:

Marvel Legend Havoc-somebody-or-rather > custom Batman Beyond

I've started making his glider/wing pieces too. Just got to paint and seal those now.

    Nice mini review tikgnat.
It's a great set isn't it? Share all the criticisms as you - I wound filing out some plastic of the wrist sockets to accommodate the fists, and I'm not keen on the sticker basically covering a decent face sculpt, BUT I'm impressed with how they scored the sticker to fit over the sculpted lines.
Real value for money though, I can't leave it alone. And yeah - Reprolabels - get on it!

Now that is a pretty good idea. I will have to give that a go later.

Oddly enough we do have a fireplace that appears to be fully functional but we're not supposed to use it "for insurance reasons" or some such. Weird.

Erector, I keep looking at that Cyberverse lot of yours and wanting to pull the trigger. Someone else with less responsibilities please take that off his hands, it is an absolute steal!
