I'm sitting on the fence as to whether I want to get Prime Soundwave or not.
I wasn't particularly fussed about the figure as I wasn't particularly fussed about the character.........That changed when I saw the awesome smackdown he laid on Airachnid.
Not entirely sure about the figure now:confused:

Try toysrus.co.uk he's in and out of stock constantly. Got Undertow today from there and he is bloody awesome!

    Edit: just checked, he's there for 4.99 : )

Thanks mate, I'll look at that!

On Prime toys, I picked up the Tesco Direct catalog earlier and they list all four of the Deluxes and the two voyagers with *individual* product codes. It's the first time I've seen a UK catalog do that and gives hope for those short packed figures....

Maybe I ought to swing by the huge Tesco store near me as part of the hunt. If they're listed in the catalogue, maybe they'e on the Mezzanai floor?

There's some prime deluxe, commander and legion in the Old Kent Road ASDA. Also bot shot 3 packs and launchers. No individual ones I could find though.

    Oops, wrong thread :)

Actually, I'm well up for this. I don't know much about comics, but I'm willing to learn (don't know much about Transformer lore in fact, but I have an open mind). I do know my arabica from my robusta though.

I'll get my people to talk to your people to make arrangements. Any other Londoners interested?

I don't think that it changes the status of short packed figures. The only difference is that we will be able to tell that they are out of stock without having to ask on the shop floor for 'that blue jet thing one' in advance.

I would be but at the moment a lot of my lunch breaks seem taken up with phone interviews so it's a bit hard to plan ahead :)

If its got one of those direct/collect desks you should be able to order them there and then...

I haven't decided if you're being cynical or realistic ;-p

simond, Barry Kaid - I've been a prick-tease with this, there's virtually no chance of me having the spare time to have a Central London geek-a-roo before my wedding / honeymoon at the end of the month.

So, gentlemen, late April / early May - have a peruse of Soho record shops (Polar, Fopp, Rough Trade, etc), have a rumble through toy and comic shops Orbital (say hello to mcluskyism) and FP, finish it off with a coffee so strong it will rot your bones at Monmouth St.

Let's try to get Fort Max, Skywarp, Tikgnat and that Aussie guy who showed up asking about London involved. Make a capital Nerd Day of it.

Or any of you that ever sometimes swing into town. Let's get some dates up on here.

    I noticed that, too!

As for soundwave, grab him, he's a great figure, if not a tad small.

What do Orbital Comics in London have at the moment? I'll be there this weekend, and haven't been in a year.

Sounds good to me, would this be a weekend thing? I'm busy all of the May 5th Weekend, otherwise pretty flexible.

Does that mean you're currently buried in a shitstorm of cardboard, parcel tape and bubble wrap?

    I know that feel, bro!

I got a bit excited when I saw the Prime deluxes had been refreshed in sainsbury's today. Maybe, just maybe there'd be a ratchet in there for brooticus? Naaa, don't be silly!
