The trouble with Amazon.com, as is the same with TRU.com, is that they only have a certain stock level to ship internationally.

I tried to order Springer around xmas from Amazon.com when he was silly cheap but he wasn't available for international shipping.

P.S. Welcome aboard the enabling train!

Hmm, it may be because they weren't actually being sold by amazon themselves. For example, I tried ordering sandstorm but as it was being sold by BBTS they wouldn't send it. Bastards.

This might sound a bit of a daft question but i haven't ever actually ordered from Amazon.com, is it actually free shipping or do you get hit with any customs charges at all? As i was thinking if i did ever get to order any Voyagers from them 2 or 3 and the box they send them in would be pretty big & if they do attract customs fees...........

Amazon.com pre-charge you the VAT so you don't get hit by anything when it comes into the country

    Chopper1, welcome!

A member here, Wasp319, has Springer and Sandstorm for sale at a reasonable price. He's a really nice guy and I've bought from him before with no problems whatsoever. He has Whirl for sale, too!

Ah, something I can comment on. I had a splurge at Reprolabels and they've all arrived now. I bought lots of different faction symbols sheets. Having them all in hand has me thinking that the outline style symbols on clear backgrounds might work best on MP figs. I have a set in white outline, and a set in silver outline. I'm of a mind that the silver ones will suit both 'Goldswipe' and Quakewave. There are lots of different sizes on the sheets, of both 'bots and 'cons, so plenty of choices for one's figures. I'd definitely recommend them, but buy direct from their site, there's more choice than on eBay. Once you can work out RL's daft website that is.
I got about three free sheets of the white outline on clear background faction sheets thrown in with my order too which was nice.
The red-on-clear symbols worked well on MGT-01 "Arcee".

Is anyone still interested in Blitzwing upgrade sets? Dr Wu are releasing one soon which looks nice and it's not a bad price.

The shipping isn't free and as simond said, they charge you import duty in advance. I know we've got Springer and Sandstorm in stock at Masterforce and there's a loose Blitzwing in stock. Can't remember if we have any boxed ones off the top of my head though.

Also got Whirl and Doubledealer in stock :)

There's a search button just above the ads. Click on that, then advanced forum search & you will see there's a 'search by user name' on the right side.

Did anyone else who ordered from Amazon.com get a small refund? I got about £4 back but I'm not sure why.

I have yep, they try to over estimate how much VAT you'll get charged and then refund the difference sometime later, it never amounts to a massive amount but it's always nice :)

Hard to say, easily over 1,000 knick-knack-paddy-whacks-give-a-dog-a-bones, but as I've been buying collections and selling on stuff from them I don't want, it's probably worked out not too expensive. Probably.

Two monorails feels a little excessive though.

I can't seem to find any posts or threads by a Wasp319 using the search facility.

I'm eyeing up a monorail at the minute. Turns out that all of Galaxy Squad wasn't enough for me, so I've moved on to M-TRON...

As a UK collector, I take it you are familiar with kapow-toys.com and Masterforce.co.uk?

    That's a lot of Monorails.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I have a ton of Space Lego but........very little of it is in Set condition, most of it is in big mixed storage bins or on actual built stuff. Well this is from before kids realised you weren't supposed to play with the things you were supposed to keep them in pristine sealed boxes and just imagine how much fun was inside. But cumulatively it's a rucking lot 1978-95.

I recommend the Unitron monorail, about the same price, and you get more bang for your buck.
I'm currently expanding M:Tron, as that is my favourite set (although I have a major weakness for Ice Planet too). What I've found is with a few replacement tiles and neon-green windows etc..., it is very easy to turn most of the very cheap Spyrius range into additional M:Tron toys. Including their base, which I have hooked up to the monorail.
Also, I will be building additional monorail trains for Space Police, M:Tron and Ice Planet, with the ultimate aim of expanding these sets into an exclusive community / working city. I'll also need a ten cell Space Police Station, or prison.
Then I want a Blacktron II spaceship which has the capacity to steal monorail trains lock, stock and barrel.

Sigh, I need to get out more.

Goddamn it, enough with the Lego space monorail. Every time it gets mentioned, I have to wipe away a tear at the happy memories I have of that thing.
